Abbott isn't drilling into the money for nothing.
Although minerals have a high economic value, money is not everything in the Endless Abyss.
If you don't have enough strength to make a deal with the demons, you can't do it yourself.
Then the demons will not only take your money, they'll finish you off in the process.
Therefore, improving your strength and having a powerful force is the key to rampaging through the Endless Abyss.
At the moment Abbott has one such option.
With such a rich mining area in front of us, if Abbott took possession of it, then having a large power would no longer be a problem.
Relying on a steady stream of orcs to defect, Abbott's power would surely grow like a snowball.
However, the group of orcs also increasingly lacks sufficient weaponry to maintain the territory, instead requiring Abbott to expend his own energy protecting them.
It's not what Abbott expects from them.
If you want to have your own power in the Endless Abyss, population is one thing and troops are another.
For example, the trade city of Painful Valley.
Though it started out primarily as a trade, the city's owner, Lilia, owns two of its last two.
A sufficient population would bring in a steady stream of income, and a certain number of city defenders would be enough to protect the city's stores from being plundered by smaller forces.
Of course the main thing was that Lilia possessed that giant worm, so it could be said that she was fearless in the face of any existence below a high-ranked demon.
That's what made the Valley of Pain a city!
Abbott knew he was in the beginning stages of expansion, the very stage of being broke.
Though he had good combat power, it was also important to have the orcs form an army that could carry out battles without pulling their own leg.
.....
Will, as Abbott's original and first henchman, naturally cares more about Abbott's growth than anyone else.
It was unknown how this nameless lord did it, but Abbott's strength was rising almost one day at a time.
And he's also a competent lord who doesn't oppress those under his command, and in him, Will sees the conditions for claiming the throne.
So he knew that if he wanted his people not to be abandoned by Abbott, then it was important to improve himself, so he said, before Abbott could say anything.
"My lord, if this area can really manage to open up a mine, our group of subordinates can truly become your right hand man!"
Abbott nodded, undeniably.
The two of them really did think together.
"Stay here and don't move, I'm going to scout the neighborhood."
Abbott immediately took to the air and began scouting up the surrounding area to see if he could find any clues.
After flying for a while, Abbott then spotted an unusual trail.
Dropping to the ground, Abbott realizes that there are signs of a giant creature moving through the area, and that some faint toxicity remains wherever it goes.
"This is probably that Hydra, it seems to reside nearby."
Following the trail, Abbott came to the outside of a hidden cave.
Abbott heads inside and realizes that there is something else going on in this seemingly small cave!
From the initial narrow opening, the closer you get to the inside, the larger the cave becomes and the more empty it becomes!
And the further in you go the rarer the ore scattered, even the bones next to it.
There were even quite a few bones of magical beasts appearing in them.
Abbott couldn't help but raise his guard a few notches.
At this time his strength was not afraid of this multi-headed snake at all, but Abbott did not know the specific strength of the other party, the common multi-headed snake was not Abbott's opponent at all, but if the other party evolved into a real hydra, perhaps Abbott must also be careful to deal with it.
A foul-smelling poison spread through the cavern.
Abbott frowned, while this level of toxin couldn't hurt him, it very much affected his vision.
Just as he was about to dispel the poison.
"Ow!"
A speeding black shadow crashed into Abbott.
Abbott avoids the blow with just one quick evasive maneuver and rolls to his feet.
Holding the Demon Sword in his hand, he assumed the stance of the Godslayer Sword Art and looked towards the enemy who had attacked him earlier.
As luck would have it, after the poison slowly dispersed, a huge serpentine figure appeared in front of Abbott's eyes.
It was the poltergeist, and not just any poltergeist.
Abbott looked over and realized that his opponent had grown eight heads and was on the verge of growing a ninth.
Each one's snake head was a different color, but all eight heads were looking malevolently at Abbott.
Abbott put down his heart, this wasn't a real hydra yet, if the other party really had all nine heads growing out, then it no longer belonged to the category of magical beasts, but a real divine beast.
Don't look at the difference between magical beasts and divine beasts is only one word, but the difference between them is one heaven and one earth.
Divine Beasts were true existences that possessed the ability to comprehend rules and could take out high-level demons and deities.
"Hmph, how dare you sneak up on me! Finish you off before you finish growing!"
Abbott raised his magic sword and pointed it at his opponent's head.
"Hiss!"
Sensing Abbott's provocation, the poltergeist became enraged and bit at Abbott like an arrow.
Eight heads bit into Abbott in different directions, as if to tear him apart.
"Sculpture!"
With his flexible body, Abbott's figure dodged and dodged through his opponent's attacks.
Each blow was deftly dodged by him.
And at this time Abbott also found the opportunity to see a vicious sword to one of the heads of one of the many-headed serpents!
The Magic Sword Evil Eye's own Sharpness (Legendary) attribute directly caused the opponent's proudly hard scales to be hacked to pieces.
The only thing that could be seen was that head bleeding profusely, almost chopped off alive.
Realizing that his attack couldn't take advantage of him and that he had suffered a big loss, the multi-headed snake immediately changed its attack.
It squirmed backward, its eight heads staring at Abbott's figure in unison, as if preparing to unleash some skill.
"No good!"
Only to see those eight snakeheads spewing venom from their mouths at the same time, and the venom from each snakehead was of a different attribute!
Petrify, Poison, Weaken, Bleed .... Eight attributes of venom flew at Abbott in unison.
Abbott calmed down at the sight and posed for a swordfight.
Because there's no point in dodging, these venoms are too fast, and the other guy has been aiming for Abbott for a long time, so it looks like an almost certain end.
"Godslayer Sword Art, Storm Style!"
Abbott's figure became illusory, and he was surrounded by what looked like countless others as he swung his greatsword.
Only a storm wall made of sword qi appeared in front of him.
The entire air in the cavern was diverted and rallied towards where Abbott was.
"Give it back!"
That wall of wind was directly thrown out, not only blocking those venomous attacks, but also making them all return to their rightful owners!
The multi-headed snake screamed miserably, the power of its own spewing venom was the first time it had tasted it, and those terrifying sword qi also opened slit after slit on its body, blood flowing out.
"It's not over!"
Abbott's figure disappeared into thin air, only to appear behind the multi-headed serpent in the next instant.
Those eight heads of the multi-headed snake fell in unison!
