63. Moving House

"Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't." — Bill Nye

After arriving outside the mining area, they intended to farm the next day. Lazarus was the first to log off; not only did he seem tired, but Claire knew he didn't like to sit around, especially at the end of a play session.

Looking at Irene, she felt mixed feelings. The older woman was someone outside of her comfort zone. She spoke and acted in ways neither Claire nor the people she had been around had ever had.

As the two of them stared at each other, Irene spoke teasingly.

"You wouldn't mind if I took him, right?"

Hearing the abrupt question, Claire was stunned; what kind of question was that?

Taking a deep breath, she nodded while responding.

"It doesn't matter to me if you like him; as long as I can stay in this group and keep earning money, it is fine."
