Astoria was a place which house's people with unique abilities of all kinds, like flight,super strength, mind control, climatic affinity and many others. even some with rare abilities exists here, the empire is known for his wealth and technological advancement which aid it in it's prosperous ways, a place where the influential regined supreme overall other forces which are less privileged; while the less privilege struggles to make ends meet. The power struggle gets tougher the higher the progress which causes the wealthy to remain wealthy and the less privilege to remain less and the system carries on regardless of whatever happens. Even through all these Astoria still remains a wealthy empire whose greatness shines brighter than ever, which makes the royal family an envy to various factions As well as top powers who reside in the empire. The royal family has been the only dominant force in the empire ever since the founding, their ancestors; sir Sedrick in particular followed by countless generations, comes from way back when the empire was nothing but a wasted land and the current glory which the empire enjoys was as a result of their capabilities. History has it that the ancestors went through countless tough battles just to remain the only dominant power back in the days, numerous stories were told of how sir Sedrick fought non stop to secure power and drive out opposing powers all by himself, while facing countless betrayal from friends and family members back then. It was even recorded that sir Sedrick waged a gruesome war with his younger brother Matthew and at the end the top echelon from various cycles who resided in Astoria back then had to intervene just to keep the peace. In order for the future of the empire to be more harmonize they were policies which were put in place to maintain peace and order, the same peace which was further converted into what the hidden forces which played a devious role in the empire twisted to fit their personal agenda, while clearly hiding in the shadows of the empire. The peace was a mirage just in place to blind the citizens from seeing the darkness lurking within the empire, following the story of how sir Sedrick dominated Astoria with all his might, where it was nothing but a kingdom after it's first establishment and with countless effort from himself transformed the kingdom to an empire. Making the Shedden family regined supreme over it all, After the establishment of the empire from a kingdom various cities which were built was rebuilt to show the once glory of the now current empire, which led to the concept of guardians allocated in all twelve cities in Astoria. These guardians under gose tedious training process which harness their special abilities to the top of their capabilities, the once standard set up was all put in place by sir Sedrick himself knowing he won't always be around to keep Astoria in check from the clutches of those with devious intentions. Rumor has it that only those capable enough to make it from the two initial stage of the guardians selection tournament into the finals and comes out victorious were all made to acknowledge the once existing statue of sir Sedrick, which is said still carries piece and fragments of his soul which show how all guardians ever given the seal of a guard has met all his expectations. Although the royal family siezes to share more light on how a piece of their ancestors soul still reside in a statue, accompanied with the fact that a descendants of sir Sedrick's carried the ability of multiple souls and her whereabouts were kept a secret from the empire, followed by what happened after the defeat of sir Matthew in person which all show how dominant the royal family regines over all factions which ever existed in the empire, some mystery which surround the empire still remains hidden from it's citizen which all help in hyping the long revened name of the Shedden family all through Astoria.The empire Astoria was renouned for it's diversity in all aspects of human lives activities, the ablities which all residents of the empire held makes it more feared amongst other countries surrounding it. Even though the ancestors of the royal family who established the empire knew of its strength, they were still against the use of violence in issues regarding the empire; which made the empire maintain peace with all surrounding countries. While even fostering trade between Astoria and other countries to help the empire develop further. The system put in place restricted citizens from ever abusing their special abilities, regardless of the situation which they seems to be in, regardless of who ever they are; as a result of forces which were appointed to sever several cities which resided close by to maintain order. During the establishment of the empire, sir Sedrick stretched an hand of friendship towards anyone and everyone who saw the good and future progress of the empire. These forces came together during gruesome times in the empire, after witnessing the strength of sir Sedrick himself from it's first battle and his predominant attitude over the empire. As well as building the empire up into what it was, and going further to draw civilization into the empire further. And the empire itself gained its footings amongst top countries which regined before it, as well as recognition; thus gaining a considerable ranking amongst other countries. The major reasons for the empire been targeted by various powers was for that the land it myself had good properties, and it was said that some cities had natural occurring mineral in it; while other parts had fertil land for agriculture. Which made it highly soothed after by people who later saw these benefit in the land. Not to mention the glory and rising of the Shedden family name, which spiked hunans greed and desire to gain power; and plotted all manners of scheme to gain control of the empire. Even through all this the ancestors of the royal family never gave up from chasing out rising powers, regardless of the outcome of war; which would take place. The ancestors knew how much power exercise needs to be put in place, till they could be allowed to rule; even if they founded the empire. In the long run finding the empire became a primary stage and gaining recognition as well as power to dominate was another thing in person. And the ancestors of the royal wouldn't back down from the fight at any cost, despite all their ancestors stood strong and prevailed over it all. Hence was able to remain remaining for countless generations to come, and would still remain the only ruling power in the empire.
