The long moonless night. A far stretched hour of an-half day, lagging behind its usual schedule; it was as nature had betrayed itself. Yet a proud gusty wind had laid its hold upon the night into the open sky which had driven the stars into hiding, running away from descending it's tiny specks of glimmer upon the earth. The night was moonlessly dark, void like they were in mourning.
At the established camp, a strong gloomy atmosphere kept the entire place chilled and figuratively still.
*I guess even the moon had gone into hiding, perhaps not only humans could get frightened. * Purple fender said, hugging herself closely from the cold. She stood beside the boys and together they stood outside the base of the camp, the look on their faces spoke differently either related to their aim or not. Yet everyone would rather not say it, all waiting for the right hour.
