As I watch the blockade fall, I see how much damage this city has already suffered. The virus is now spreading to every state and many countries with large populations. Things are starting to fall apart quickly. People’s selfishness is to blame they wanted no restrictions, thinking it would protect them. But now, the consequences are spilling over everywhere. The chaos shows how fragile everything has become because of the choices made.In less than a day, the entire city turned against the military. They had been trying to protect us from the virus. Yet, the people rallied against them. My whole life felt based on the idea that people want to control others. Some groups love to tell everyone what to do. It was clear that no matter the effort to keep us safe, many saw the soldiers as the enemy. The city had a way of shifting feelings quickly, from trust to suspicion. It all showed how fragile our sense of security can be when people choose to oppose rather than support.
