Today is my birthday. Last night, I saw a lot of blood on the stairs. Jan’s body was lying on the ground, torn apart and unmoving. I was on the porch, holding my switchblade just in case. I wanted to make sure Dustin, Steve, and Jan were put down quickly, without more suffering. I stepped outside to take a smoke, trying to calm my shakiness after what I saw. We could only stand there and watch the scene unfold. We heard screams and saw parts of flesh being ripped apart or eaten. It was a nightmare, and there was nothing we could do but watch.I heard Sarge come outside to check on me, along with my dad. They wanted to see what was left after last night’s nightmare. The scene out here looks pretty bad, like we’re stuck on a highway to hell. That’s just how my life feels lately, like the chaos Tom Freeman faced in the Last Man Standing series by Keith Taylor. This was only the beginning of problems we never saw coming.
sarge: Kier are you ok from last night?
