Afternoon, Choi handed him that file. "Here you go." She said that and went to sit on the sofa instead of sitting near him.
It was the time he noticed her expressionless, straight face, which distinguished her from something mad. "Are you mad because of working?" He asked.
"No," he responded quite quickly, and she purposely rolled her eyes towards the view outside the window.
He narrowed his eyes, suspecting Choi's crooked behaviour. So he put the file aside and approached her, sitting beside her.
As she made herself distance herself from him, he confirmed that her disappointment was somewhat because of him.
"What's your problem now?" He asked, not questionably but inevitably.
"I want to go back to Korea," she disclosed, looking at the window side, deliberately failing to spot instant regret in Kwan's face.
"Why suddenly?" Asked Kwan. His voice spoke for his disgruntled. She witnessed that. Still, she became adamant with her decision as her mind reverberated.
"Will you do anything for your sister?"
"Yes."
"I want to leave!" She firmly said.
Since he couldn't tolerate her avoiding eye contact with him, he nodded and said, "Okay."
She rubbernecked at him and appeared to be shocked by his immediate concurred.
Looking at him going back to his seat, she rushed to him and blocked him before he got seated. "Aren't you going to ask me to stay with you?" She asked scholarly.
"You said that's what you want. What can I do then?" Kwan dictated like he was going to send her off.
"So you don't care that I will be lonely?" She queried again with an anxious-filled look.
"Why is she mentioning this?" He thought to himself, judging her watery, shaking eyes.
As both observed each other, Choi couldn't help but lay her sight on his lips, thinking, "I should let him know it."
His eyes also lay on her lips. "Will she slap me if I kiss her now?" He asked inside himself.
She swallowed her saliva, overcoming the fear, and lifted her heels, pressing her tie against the floor.
His eyes gradually widened, realising she was aiming for his lips. Furthermore, he heard his crazy heartbeat.
He closed his eyes, letting her on her way once he saw her shut her eyes too. As their proximity got higher and higher, Kwan perceived her hot breath embracing his face genuinely, and her racing heartbeat, which was pumping out of her heart, spoke for her feelings towards him.
Both lips were going to brace each other. It took only one inch of distance to feel his lips. Suddenly, Kwan's phone ringing sound demolished both of their feelings.
She pressed her heels down immediately and stared at the floor, coughing two times, embarrassed as hell.
He rubbed his neck and threw his eyes at the phone immediately. He appeared disappointed with that phone call.
"One sec," he excused before attending the call. It was woo-sunk. Kwan's anger reached its peak.
"What's your problem?" He resonated and turned around to hide his angry face from her.
She sighed, looking anxious. "I failed again." She groused, looking at him.
"I'm coming there," Woo-Sunk informed.
"You are not welcome here," Kwan mumbled, and she walked near the window, making sure she didn't hear him.
"I won't let you try her," Woo-sunk assured himself.
"You failed already, and I don't think she will stand for you." Kwan declared roughly like a warning to an enemy.
"I'm going to remarry her." Declared Woo-sunk shocked Kwan.
He disconnected the call, leaving Kwan to hang in confusion.
Kwan stared at his phone, biting his teeth. "What is he thinking?" He bitterly asked himself. He then veered towards Choi and informed her, "I have an appointment with the doctor. Let me drop you home first."
Choi nodded and followed him. He left the office without signing the file.
Just as he was about to take the left turn to head to their house, she stopped him, saying, "I want to come with you."
The tyre skidded on the road surface immediately. He gave her a look.
"I don't want to be alone," she said, pursed her lips, looking away through the door.
He chuckled, observing her cuteness.
"Okay. But don't complain if I take too long to come back." He profounded her.
She nodded.
Thereafter, he drove the car straight.
They arrived at the cardiology hospital.
"Cardiology?" She was baffled and queried him once after getting out of the car, "Do you have a problem with your heart?"
"No, the doctor is my friend. I should say hello to her." Kwan buried the truth perfectly and made her believe him.
Thereafter, they went inside.
While she had been waiting outside, she was looking at the little girl resting on her mother's lap cutely. Because of that, she failed to see Kwan heading inside the ECG lab.
Hours later, she yawned and felt dizzy. Soon she spotted Kwan coming out of the room. She hurried to him and asked, peeking at the room often, "Why don't you want to introduce her to me?"
Instead of answering her, his eyes were fixed on her. Somewhat, she sensed his glaze disclosing his crestfallen.
Not to delay, she placed her palm over his left chest and felt his heartbeat. "Are you okay?" She concerned. Her contemplation enunciated that to him.
He held her hand tenderly and proclaimed with his weary voice, "Now it's feeling okay."
She was a little bewildered. As she tried to take back her hand, he grasped it tightly and put it on his left chest again. "You are leaving whenever I say it is comfortable," he told himself, barely reaching her while she was lost in his melting gaze.
The sun was about to set. They reached home.
Woo-Sunk's manager got kidnapped and was brought to Mr. Go's place.
"How dare you assist him to book a flight ticket?" Mr. Go growled, sticking out the long stick to beat him.
Woo-Sunk's manager's eyes were landed on the floor knowing there was no point in explaining.
However, his heart raced, and his whole body shivered as the noise of the stepping foot hit his ear.
He yanked the stick.
The manager shut his eyes tightly, accepting the reality.
Meanwhile...
I'm going to detect your lifetime payment," Mr. GO's voice came across.
He opened his eyes and looked up at Mr. Go dropped the stick.
"No!" His eyes secreted the tears in no time. Clutching Mr.Go's leg, he begged with a sobbing voice, "You can beat me until I die, sir. Don't detect my salary, please!!"
Mr. Go signalled the bodyguard to send the manager back.
The bodyguards dragged the manager forcefully away from Mr. Go as he screamed, "Noo!!! Please!!!"
"Leave," Mr. Go said, looking at him being dragged outside the room.
Choi was observing Kwan's long face while he was making the dining table. "What made him look like this?" She asked herself, exhaling a deep sigh without knowing what to do.
They had dinner together quietly. No one talks to anyone.
Unexpectedly, Kwan went to his room early, informing her, "I feel tired."
Minutes passed, hours passed, and Choi was watching TV, hoping Kwan would ask her why she wanted to leave Switzerland.
At last, nothing happened. She peeked into his room and glimpsed him napping tiredly. She couldn't help but sigh hopelessly, dictating, "He isn't concerned about my absence."
The clock reads midnight. Choi rolled left and right, struggling to sleep since Kwan's unfamiliar attitude disturbed her mind. So she came out only to find Kwan drinking alcohol alone in the moonlit living room.
