+Chapter 60+

The familiar scent of wood smoke and spices wafting in made Caspian sit up, his eyes wide in surprise.

"Did you forget something?" He blurted out, looking over the couch at the unexpected appearance of Asher.

"No. I got off work early today." Asher lied easily, taking off his fur-lined coat.

It was hardly because the weather was cold as it was already the start of summer, he just favored big flashy coats.

He had thrown his phone right out the window of his car after making the call to Jael, his second-in-command wouldn't be happy but he would get over it.

Asher walked right over to the couch to Caspian who looked so expressively happy to see him.

"Does it work that way?" Caspian found himself asking, completely forgetting that he was wearing Asher's shirt.

The sight of it made Asher stop in his tracks, a slow smile starting on his handsome face. "You'd be surprised."
