118. VS. Jasmine

After bidding farewell to the mother and son Lugia's, they asked Luka for help and sailed to Transit Town, a harbor town near Ogi Isle. There are regular boats here that can go to Olivine City.
Afterwards, they confirmed by phone that Ampharos had recovered and Jasmine's condition was much more stable and she was now ready for their battle. It was now the time for the Official Gym Battle!
After resting here for the night, Ash had gotten the good rest he needed after dealing with Team Rocket again. Early the next morning, they boarded a scheduled ship on time and returned to Olivine City.
Brock was going around the city looking for girls and more importantly the necessary things for their journey.
Misty took Molly and Meganium around the city to get new clothes for her and get some sightseeing done because the last time they came here, they didn't get to see much.
She was also trying to help Molly forget about the Team Rocket issue.
Ash on the other hand was taking to Maya and telling her about their adventures so far. He also showed her the Tidal Bell that he got from Lugia and explained the whole situation to her.
After some talking, Ash decided that it was time to go and meet with the rest of the group in front of the Gym in their agreed upon time.
Misty felt that Ash was much happier than usual but she chalked that to Ash finally able to get another Gym Badge after so long.

The Gym Battle starts now!
"This is an Official Gym Battle for the Mineral Badge! There can only be two Pokémon that can be used on each side, is that understood?" Janina served as the referee because she somehow managed to get her Referee License.
After receiving confirmation from the two of them, she said loudly, "Now the Official Gym Battle between Gym Leader Jasmine of Olivine Gym and the challenger Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town now begins!"
"Big Brother, come on! Beat her!" Molly hugged Jigglypuff and cheered loudly for her older brother.
"First up is you, Magnemite, come out!"
Jasmine first sent out her own Pokémon, which was obviously the Magnemite that was just lazing around Jasmine's shoulder before the match. They have a high Bond Value for sure, Ash didn't even need to use his Aura to see that.
"Pikachu, you're the first one to battle today! Shock them hard!"
Misty was a little surprised to see that Ash dispatch his Pikachu when facing Magnemite. After all, it was one of his strongest Pokémon of all time.
"Is he using the tactic of attacking electricity with stronger electricity? Ash doesn't seem to be exchange one of his Fire-type Pokémon!" Last night, Brock noticed that Ash was looking for Professor Oak to exchange some of his Pokémon's.
But it seems that Houndoom or Typhlosion was not exchanged, but Lapras was teleported to the Lab. Now that he can start training, Ash decided to give him to Slowking for the early stages of his training until he is ready for the ones that Ash gives out.
"Yes but Pikachu also has Steel-type moves like Iron Tail to redirect and reduce the Electric-type attacks!" Misty is very familiar with Pikachu's current skill set after seeing Ash train his Pokémon's all the time.
"Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu's Thunderbolt is averted by Magnemite just in the nick of time!
"Magnemite, use Thunder Shock!"
Magnemite's Thunder Shock was also dodged easily by Pikachu. The two sides had just exchanged some light attacks, and each had a preliminary understanding of the other's power.
"Ash, your Pikachu moves very quickly. It is definitely the fastest Pikachu I ever saw." Jasmine praised Ash for his Pikachu.
"It's not just fast!" Ash smiled, "Pikachu, Quick Attack!"
Seeing Pikachu coming so fast, Jasmine also quickly launched a quick order to attack, "Magnemite, use continuous Thunder Shock's!"
Continuous Thunder Shock attacks hit Pikachu, but - it was all avoided or didn't do any damage when hit. When he got close, Pikachu jumped up and suddenly jumped in the direction of Magnemite.
"Magnemite, get out of the way!"
Magnemite floated higher in the air and suddenly got out of the way of Pikachu's attack! It was always that little bit of luck that saved Magnamite from getting hit with one of those upgraded attacks by Pikachu.
"Now, use Thunderbolt!" Thunderbolt fell towards Magnemite's head, making it inevitable and be unable to completely dodge!
However, the attack is not over yet, "Use Iron Tail!"
The Iron Tail powered up by the Thunderbolt struck Magnemite hard from above, knocking it out of the battle!
Seeing this, Jasmine gritted her teeth and said, "Ash, you are much more powerful than I thought!"
She took the Magnemite back to his Poke Ball and threw another Poké Ball, "I won't lose to you with this next one, go ahead, Steelix!"
This is the evolution of Onix!
A Pokémon that evolved using the Metal Coat like Scizor, but Steelix is a Steel and Ground-type!
"This Steelix looks so strong!" Misty felt Steelix's aura, "What type should he use against this Steel-type?"
"It would be better to use a Fire-type Pokémon!" Brock replied, "But Ash didn't exchange for one of his Fire-type Pokémon last night!"
"Brock, you are wrong thsi time!"
Ash heard the exchange between his two partners over there and smiled, "It is true that the Fire-type restrains the Steel-type, but Steelix is the evolved form of Onix and can use a large number of Rock-type and Ground-type attacks. Using Fire-type Pokémon can be very passive and even lead to unexpected damages because of Steelixs Ground typing!"
With that said, Ash threw another of his Poke Balls, "Stand by for battle, Feraligatr!"
"That's right!"
Brock immediately reacted when he saw Ash sending out Feraligatr. "It's not only the Fire-type that can restrain Steel-type, but also the Fighting-type." He told to Misty in a hushed voice so no one hears him.
Feraligatr can just use attacks like Superpower! Moreover, Steelix with the Ground-type was also beaten by Feraligatrs Water typing.
"And Steel-type attacks are not effective against Water-types! So Feraligatr is like the perfect counter against Steelix."
Steelix's weaknesses are Water, Fire and Fighting!
"Now, Feraligatr, Burst Out!"
"FER!"
As Feraligatr roared, water began to swirl around its body, greatly increasing its speed on the battlefield!
This is one of the customs moves he created for his Water-type Pokémon's to enchant their speed both on land and on water.

"Suppress them, Steelix, use Screech!"
"Use Aqua Tail!"

The metalic tail collided head-on with the water powered tail from Feraligatr, and the entire battle ground seemed like it was overflowing. Then the water splashed and fell towards everyone!
"FERA!"
Feraligatr suddenly let out a powerful roar and rushed towards Steelix with the help of his Aqua Tail.
The Aqua Tail just now was not used to attack at all, but to create an impact force, allowing him to jump and move at a rapid speed!
"Use Rock Throw!"
Sure enough, there are Rock-type moves used by this Steelix. With such a fast attack, if a Fire-type Pokémon is sent on the field, it will be easily targeted and be hit unless they are faster than the attack.
"Superpower!"
Feraligatr's figure was unable to dodge in the air, and he was about to watch a huge stone hit his body.
But he and Ash didn't panic at all at their predicament. Instead, their Aura became more and more powerful. The muscles in his arms swelled crazily, and he slapped the Rock Throw with only one of his palm!
Those huge stones were actually hit back towards Steelix!

The Rock Throw summoned by Steelix was hit back by Feraligatr and flew towards its own body. Now even the calm Steelix was angered !
"ROAR!"
"Use Iron Tail again!" Sensing Steelix's emotions, Jasmine also decided to challenge it head-on!
The powerful and heavy stones along with Feraligatrs punch collided with Steelix's furious Iron Tail, and Steelix's tail was knocked out, pulling its whole body back.
Feraligatr was also knocked away, but was cushioned by the water flowing all over his body, so he was not that injured!

Boom!
There are more and more water all over Feraligatr's body, and his whole body was starting to glow!
"Steelix, Encore, then use Iron Tail!" Half of Steelix's body is shining with metal luster. The power of this Iron Tail skill was very terrifying!
"Aqua Tail!"
The Aqua Tail collided with Iron Tail again, causing heavy rain to fall on the field.
Feraligatr: 255/255
Suddenly, Feraligatr opened his eyes!
"Feraligatr!" The light exploded, and the water on its body shrank and returned to its shoulders and arms. The water flow actually formed a pair of arm armor!
Its size has further increased, and the original red bone plates on its head, back and tail have been divided into two, and it seems that the scarlet light is still shining!

"Steelix lost the ability to fight and Feraligatr won, so the winner is the challenger Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town!"
