Daemon paused his action of zipping the laptop handbag on the table in front of him. He paused for but a moment, before he completed his action. His mind, however, went to the young woman in question, as he opened his mouth to answer in a faint tone:
"She is not at the hospital anymore. She is now living with Cynthia with her two months old baby."
Dinaia smiled, soft relief in her eyes, while the atmosphere quieted down. This time, Ryan didn't break it with any light-hearted comment. He, too, was feeling for the woman they were talking about. Anyone would feel for her after such an unexpected calamity that had left her listless and broken.
After a moment of silence, he asked Daemon:
"Is her depression better?"
Fortunately, the answer was positive:
"She now has a spark of life in her eyes."
