And while he left his life full of dead bodies behind, did that life really let him go?

Health check-up was something that was becoming more common now, with different tiers that had made it stop being exclusive to the wealthy. Of course, the subsidies from the government had also contributed to making it affordable, only unfortunately, still not free yet.

The process had been streamlined into becoming short but efficient, unless of course it was the most comprehensive kind. For the family of three however, there was no need to go too far. They were done soon enough, leaving only the results for some tests to wait for.

Daemon, Evelyn and Jason come out of the doctor's office, before Evelyn looked at Daemon, and asked with a slight feeling of restraint in her soft smile:

"Can you guys wait for me for a bit?"

Daemon looked into the brown eyes that felt like she wanted to do something, but she wanted to keep it hidden, feeling a bit of anticipation for it.
