The next day, Evelyn descended from the upper floor where the bedrooms were, dressed for the office, her high heels striking against the stairs as she walked, careful not to put the skirt that had her smooth skin below the knees exposed through a stress test.
Below, Jason ran past the staircase, shouting along the way:
"Mom, hurry up. I will be late!"
Evelyn shook her head, wondering since when the little Peak was so motivated to go to the school he found boring. But then thinking about the big Peak in the family, she reasoned that maybe the son she had with him also had a bit of his perfectionist tendencies, with maybe some additional mild obsessive compulsive disorder lying around.
