Rise Of The Outcasts

Constantine sat in stunned silence, grappling with the revelation about his lineage. His mind raced, trying to piece together the implications of what Damien had just said. The room around him seemed to fade as he delved into his thoughts.

Damien's voice broke through his reverie. "Divine bloodlines are often targeted by others seeking to exploit or extract their powers," he explained. "This would explain how all your family died in 'accidents' before you reached adulthood, and why the mage cult kidnapped you."

Jane, always quick to question, frowned. "But why did they leave Constantine alive if they're hunting for the bloodlines?"

Constantine's eyes widened as a horrifying realization dawned on him. "They leave one alive to continue the bloodline, then cull them when needed. A few days before my abduction, Vicky and I had a pregnancy scare, but it was a false alarm. However, it'd be easy for someone monitoring us to think she was expecting."
