Lowest Level: First World, Close to the Target

"LordKittyCat, do me a favor just this one time!"

'For the nth time, my name is not LordKittyCat! It's system No. 369!'

"Isn't there a beginner protection period for my first world?! Why isn't it working cause your lovely, handsome, and amazing host will soon die any second now!"

'You stupid brain dead host! You had to let your impulsive thoughts control you and now my internal system is malfunctioning so I can't connect to the main server! How will I activate one of the 3 emergency abilities!'

"So there really was a beginner protection period!"

'Tsk, hurry and run away from the savage beast! It's catching up to you!'

"Ahhh, I don't wanna die. I still haven't popped my cherry or had a bunch of amazing sex with my hubby!!"

'Stop shouting those stupid and embarrassing shit. Your voice is leading it to you, dummy! Quick, turn here! There's a hole big enough to hide in! Rub grass and dirt on yourself! Hide your smell!'

Leon immediately followed his systems command and rolled on the ground before climbing into the hole. He lowered his breath and listened to his surroundings.

'LordKittyCat, is it gone?'

'Let me go look.'

The system floated out of the hole and checked the surroundings.

'Seems like it went the other way.'

Leon released a deep breath. The tension in his body relaxed and he laid limply in the tiny cramped space.

'I told you that camping outside for the night would be dangerous. You don't have any experience as an adventurer.'

"I thought I could reach the next town by myself…"

'Impossible. I repeatedly tried to convince you to change your mind but your stubborn ass wouldn't listen. And to make it worse, you have no sense of direction! It was a simple path on the maps.'

"How would I know how to read the map? I'm so used to the GPS and modern technology."

Leon shrugged in response.

'The map has a function to show your location. You're just directionally challenged. Can't you see that the dot of where we are now is in the opposite direction of where you were supported to go?'

"Welp, I guess we will go to this town instead. Ugh, I'm so tired and hungry. Good thing I put the dried meat in my storage space."

'You have your cooking skill from the game. Just find food in the forest around us.'

"...I had forgotten about that. Now it's too dark to see anything. Wake me up in the morning when there is light."

Leon passed out on the cold hard ground within the hole. The next day, he opened his eyes and groaned in pain. He climbed out of the hole and weakly stood up, trying to stretch his stiff joints. He looked around at his surroundings and started following the system.

"Can you find me a place to clean myself? I feel disgusted."

'You also look disgusting.'

The system glanced at the map and guided Leon to a small lake. They took 2 hours to reach the lake. Leon saw the body of water and ran forward in excitement.

"Yes! Water!"

Leon jumped into the water which rose up to his hips. During the 2 hours walking to the location, Leon had found lots of berries, herbs, and ingredients from the forest around them. When he first looked around, he couldn't tell what was what. But if he focused his mind on searching, the natural knowledge of collecting and how to use the ingredients to cook came up from his subconscious. Just like he had known this knowledge for many many years of experience. Leon was glad he maxed out his cooking skill and was able to bind with his golden finger.

He scrubbed and rinsed his clothes that he was wearing and hung it on a branch to air dry. He pulled out his ingredients and started a small fire pitch to cook. He skewered the mushrooms and roasted them over the fire.

"It would be nice if I could hunt meat."

Leon sighed as he ate the cooked mushrooms. While storing the food, he realized that each box was like a category. Food stayed in one box, weapons had a box, and fabric-clothing had its own box. Before, he thought 10 spaces wouldn't be enough. Since one item would take up one space. But he was wrong. Leon had been nervous lately. He had guessed that there was a timeskip and that the game world is real. He didn't know what action to take. How did Kayden feel when he suddenly disappeared. Leon knew Kayden didn't live very well. The dry bread in the kitchen and having no other personal items other than the chests of all of what he had gifted him, there was nothing extra. He felt that Kayden was living such a simple and boring life. Leon opened the game screen and checked to see if Kayden was home. After searching the three rooms and finding no one, he closed the game and continued onto his journey.

It took a week of walking to arrive at the next town. Leon walked around and found the adventurer's guild building. He entered and went up to the task boards. Looking at the D grade missions, he took a few and also saw a C grade task that he was able to complete. He then went to the counter.

"Hello…may I accept and submit these tasks?"

Leon followed his character settings and pretended to be a timid man. He had a hooded cape on which covered his body and face. Many adventurers come and go so no one took notice of Leon's attractive face hidden under the hood.

"Ah, yes. Please show me your id card and I'll update the information. Please wait a moment and I will come back after getting your money."

"Thank you…"

"Alright, adding up all the tasks completed and the quality of the items you have given, you will receive a total of 1 silver coin and 4 copper coins. Since you have completed a C grade task as a D grade adventurer, I have updated your id card. You are now officially a C grade adventurer. Thank you for your hard work, fighting!"

"Un…"

Leon murmured a response and turned to leave. He put his hand inside his bag and pretended to put away his stuff but he was putting it inside his storage space. Doing mental math, he understood that 100 copper coins equals 1 silver coin. 50 silver coins will equal one gold coin. Leon had his system and golden finger to help him easily avoid beasts and enemies. As well as finding and collecting herbs. Whereas other adventures will have to hone their skills and survive to complete the tasks.

Leon continues to travel closer to the elven land. Tiriana should have been saved by the male lead and traveled through the lands to search for the dark dragon. What people don't know is that the dark dragon is an awakened being and not borned as a dark dragon from the beginning. Anyone from any of the races can awaken to be the dark dragon. With the emotional trauma and disgust from the other races, they will chase away the awakened dark dragon and cause them to become broken. Creating chaos and deaths all over the lands of all races.

Even Leon did not know who the dark dragon would awaken as and so his only option was to meet with Tiriana and join their party. He knows Tiriana will be fated to encounter the dark dragon. After two months of traveling, Leon had learned many new skills. From hunting to fighting bandits and other skills that adventurers would have. His adventurer's grade upgraded to A. His OOC restriction also loosened and now he can be himself. He had many acquaintances and was gaining some of the world's power for going against his fate.

"Just a little bit more and I'll be able to unlock level 2 of my golden finger! Hahaha!"

'…even after you have died. You're still so obsessed with your game.'

"Kayden is the love of my life. I'll never leave him. He's mine."

'Crazy…'

"I have a feeling that we are close to Tiriana. Heeheehee, here I come, world energy."

'…'

It was just Leon and the system camping out in the forest. They were close to the entrance of the elven lands.

"I'm so close to awakening my elven bloodline. After that is to awaken my dragon bloodline. Then all my bloodline powers will be complete!"

'Why do I feel like you are treating your bloodlines like a game skin unlocking task?'

"Isn't that basically it? I have never been so free and in control of my life. I love it!"

'As long as you don't make the wrong decisions that may cause you pain. I know how extreme you can be when you are emotional.'

"...I know. Let's go to sleep now. Good night, Qiuqiu."

'Goodnight.'

Leon grew a habit of calling the system by this nickname when he is in a sober and emotional mood.
