Chapter 7.- Power Up, Way too fast

 As he hunts for monsters, he is getting used to using the thorn and also getting used to his increased strength.

 Gathering materials is a tedious task for him as he was thinking of the option that have sub space of about 10 X 10 meters, that would have come in handy instead of Teleport.

 Some time after he have enough confident to hunt more dangerous beasts, he ventured deeper into the Jungle.

 Killed some Big monsters like a dog like creature that appraisal shows a Red Fox Monster, it was fast and cunning as if it has some intelligence but in the end after a tough fight he managed to kill it.

 At some time when the sun is high above his head he was thinking of returning towards the cave to have lunch, he have munched several fruits from morning till now, but his body is craving for meat as he has just started Cultivation.

 Suddenly his hair on his neck stood up, but there is no warning form the map, he was also amazed and have a little fear in his eyes as he choose to believe in his guts, as he thinks of teleport and jumps 10 meters forward with teleport skill.

 Turns around, only to see a fire ball is landed on is previous spot, and there is a small blast in about 3 meter radius, tracing the trajectory of the fire ball, he could see a wolf like creature is standing ready to paunch on him at any time, 

 Now he understand, why the map function didn't alerted him of this impending danger.

 It is an enemy that is way too strong for him to hunt right now, but he also couldn't just show his back to him, so he decide to gamble and got ready to for his first life and death fight.

{You could use teleport two more times in this hour, so use it well, it may very well make a difference}

"Thanks for letting me know, Trinetri"

He start to think of a best possible strategy to over come this dangerous situation.

But as they say that time waits for no one, and that's what happened here as the beast monster starts to fight and attack him suddenly.

Vail narrowed his eyes to have a concentrated vision on the incoming attack, sharpness of a hunter could also be seen in his eyes, he also launched towards the beast, as the claws of the beast approaches him, he tilts his neck and pushes the thorn in the belly of the wolf.

He gets a clear view on the attacker as well, thanks to the appraisal ability he found that the beast monster is called Fire wolf and it was more than little stronger as he couldn't see any thing other than its name.

Thorn didn't make almost any damage to its fur, as only a little bit of fur detached from the his skin and the wound is very shallow as well but it also enraged the wolf.

He dashed with even more ferocious ness towards Vail, Vail also makes him irritated with every attack, and some times misses the chance as the wolf is also an intelligent monster, and have very sharp senses.

To make it even more worse is that a little mistake could also be deadly, so he need to be patience and wait for the right time,

Both are gauging each others weakness and also baiting each other to make a move and then make a sudden attack.

Grr.... Grr..., some furs could be seen little bit more red as the blood flowed from the wounds coated them and it also have pale red color but blood's dark red color is totally different from the wolf.

Some of the attacks from the wolf also painted him red, as sallow wounds could be seen on his Body as well.

Vail is fighting like a seasoned hunter but the difference in strength also make him hard to make a deadly blow, and thorn is also a pointy weapon not like a sword, that could be used in several ways like hack and slash, 

 Pant....Pant...huuf....huuf....

After about 15 - 20 minutes of fighting both are panting and sweating like a rainfall and there is also a lot of blood on the ground, it is even more difficult to differentiate the blood among the two of them.

Fight start to become a little relaxed, but suddenly comes a chance for Vail, 

From opposite corners, two starts to run towards each other, and Vail used his teleport ability, and jumped right in front of the wolf.

The wolf also startled by sudden disappearance of his prey and got confused and distracted, and suddenly the pray comes in front also doesn't help much, it make the wolf more confused but the thorn is right in front of his eyes at that time.

It was already too late for him to think of anything as the wolf feel a excruciating pain in its left eye.

The thorn is inserted into the left eye and it is 7-8 inches deep, it is also wounded its brain,

Howl....howl....

The wolf starts to howl to ask for help.

Howling startle Vail as well, because he knows that wolf lives in a pack and may be at any instant other wolf would also gather because of its howling,

{No need to fear as this wolf is in the outer part of the forest, so its howling could not be heard by its pack}

It looks more painful to see it howling, so Vail comes forward to end its misery and be done with it.

{You need to careful as the wolf is in frenzy state and could attack at any time}

It is proven true as well because a fire ball is gathered around the wolf mouth and it traverse at a fast speed towards vail, 

"Damm it, I thought I don't need to use my last teleport jump but now...." shouted Vail hurriedly jumped in sub space.

 As he jumped the fire ball landed where he was right before the Jump and the fire ball makes the ground charred, and vegetation free.

Vail comes out from the sub space and right besides the wolf's left side and again inserted the thorn with all his strength in the precious eye wound.

The wolf made a painful Howl one last time and fell on the ground with a thud sound.

No sound comes for some time then...

"Huff...Huff...That was tiring and amazing at the same time. 

His hand is still pushing the thorn in the wolf.

He didn't even have the strength left to pull out the thorn out of the body of the wolf.

But suddenly he feels a flux of vast amount of energy inserted into him and didn't give him the time to process what happened.

His body starts to feel Hot and fiery redness could be seen on the surface of the whole body.

"Hump...Hump....what is going on Trinetri" asked with a little voice he could muster up.

{The Wolf is in the third rank monster which is equivalent to the third realm of Body tempering, a large amount of energy is gathered around your body and tempering it}

{You need to go back to the cave and start to eat as soon as possible to have the energy digest in its natural way and also the smell of blood from both of you and the wolf may attract some dangerous monsters so lets get going}

"Yes you are right, I almost forgot that the monster is of higher rank and may contain large amount of energy" said Vail as he starts to pack his belongings that scattered during fight and starts to drag the the wolf's whole Body.

After sometimes he reached the cave and starts to clean up and use the flowers and plants with medicinal property to coat himself over all the wounds.

And after taking care of the wounds, he start to make fire to cook himself some food, 

Food would take some time, so he sits in cross legged position and starts to stimulate the energy that is gathered all over his body.

After some time he came out with any progress and start to think about the whole Fight.

 He has experienced a very deadly fight and made many mistakes but also understand several points on how to use his strength in a better manner. He also thinks that may be monster hunter could have done a better Job in handling the situation.

{no need to be disappointed as you could not be the monster hunter as he was an emotionless machine and didn't feel much pain but you are Vail, and you don't need have same fighting style like the Monster Hunter}

{There would be mortals and immortals too and several other entities that you need to fight, so monster hunter type of style doesn't suits you}

{You have different abilities and also me to help you through any tough situation} 

{Today Teleport played an important role and you may also have certain ability that no one can think of so you don't need to copy anyone's fighting Style, Make your own that would make your enemy fear and worship you}
