 (Kellan's POV)

Relief.

It hits me like a punch to the gut, knocking the breath from my lungs the moment Ember crashes into me.

The weight of separation, frustration, and insatiable longing all dissolve in an instant as her body molds against mine, her scent overwhelming my senses.

She claws at me, fingers tangling in my hair, tugging hard, her nails sharp against my scalp. It stings—but fuck, it's perfect.

My hands find her waist, gripping tight as if she might slip away, but I won't let her. Not again. Not after two goddamn weeks of restless nights and burning need.

She breathes heavily against my neck, inhaling deep, as if she's trying to memorize my scent all over again. I feel her lips graze the skin just beneath my jaw, and my wolf nearly loses it.

"Missed you," she whispers, voice husky, breath warm against my throat.
