Chapter 20

STORM

Over the next few months, Lee and Storm had been busy with work and dealing with the Jins. They filed a restraining order against them as well as sued them for fraud. The entire University was put under tight surveillance as every singled one of their records were reviewed. A lot of employees were fired and new ones were hired, there was an uproar due to this and the Jins took as much advantage as they could of the situation.

"What is all this,Mr Gu? Just because of you and your girlfriend our university is suffering. You fired most of our proffers and now we are running short of teachers." One of the committee members argued angrily.

Mr Gu looked worried, he knew a lot of people were starting to complain and it was difficult to calm them down. Storm watched everyone silently as they continued to argue and demanded that all the professors that were fired should be brought back. They did not care about all the illegal things those said professors had done and only cared about their reputation. Lee was silently observing everyone too, he was appalled by how nonchalant some of the committee members were about the entire thing.

"Besides, our reputation is the most important and if we let all these people go, they might go and tell people about all the things that have been happening here." The vice principal said, " then we'll lose a lot of students. Already the parents of those abused students have demanded that their children be transferred. At this rate, our University will be shut down soon."

"Reputation?" Lee asked coldly, " Is this what this meeting is all about? Keeping your so called reputation?"

The vice principal gulped in fear, Gu Liang was very well known to be silent and calm.He rarely talked or commented on other's business unless asked. He was never involved in any brawl or scandals like most of the University students. While Storm was known as the Black Jade, he was a white  jade. Some went as far as to call them the Ice king and Ice queen. Both of them were two sides of the same coin, one seem cold and distant while the other was just silent.

"Mrs Gao, you think the reputation of this university is better than the lives of those children?"

The lady in question masked her fear with a scoff, " All I'm saying is there was no need to call the police. We could have dealt with all this mess quietly besides, it's not like those students are kids that they weren't aware of what was done to them yet they allowed it..."

"Do you have kids, Mrs Gao?" A calm yet calculative voice asked. Everyone turned to Storm who had her dark eyes fixed on the vice principal." Excuse me?" The woman asked.

Storm got up from her chair, she walked around the table to lean of the woman, " You of all people should know that I don't like repeating myself. So it'd be good for you to answer my questions."

Mrs Gao gulped," Yes, I do."

" So let me ask you, if this was done to your child, would you let your child keep studying in that school?"

" Of course not!" The woman exclaimed.

Storm stood up straight and looked at everyone in the room," Why not? I mean the school should think about their reputation so they can't involve the police and if you take your child away then others will do the same too. The school will be shut down, do you think that is right, Mrs Gao?"

The woman remained silent, she had nothing to say and her face was red with embarrassment. Storm waited for anyone to comment and when no one said anything, she continued," The Best way to assure these parents is for us to get every culprit punished for their crimes and making sure that the school is safe again for the students. Now of we have to fire everyone and hire a whole new staff again then so be it. You need professors, I'll take 3 classes and Gu Liang will take the other 3,that covers all the classes until we find replacements. Any questions or concerns?" She asked firmly to which everyone shook their heads.

Storm turned to Mr Gu," Permission to leave, Mr chairman?"

Mr Gu only smiled," Permission granted. This meeting is over anyways so we all can get back to work."

Storm bowed to the man and left the room with her head held high.
