GU LIANG

Some things never change, Lee found himself holding back his laughter as most of the students stared at Storm nervously. She always had that kind of effect on people even back when she was a students herself. People tended to fear her, he had to admit that she was pretty intimidating but once you get to know her, she's easy to be around.

The students were just informed that Storm will be their new IT professor. Some accepted it while others gasped in shock. There were a few arrogant ones who tried to challenge her and right now Storm was staring right at one of them... She was not staring, just glaring.

"Name?" She finally spoke after a few seconds of glaring at the kid.

The brat scoffed, " Everyone here knows my name. I am Jin Fanxing, my family is the third richest in the country." He gloated.

Lee could only shake his head in disappointment, of course, the brat was a Jin. Second master of the Jin family to be exact, his elder sister Jin Ziyuan was a first class model. She was another brat, perhaps even worse than her brother and was known for being rude and shameless. She changed her boyfriends every other day, she did business her way even if it meant cheating. Most people who were associated to the Jin family were corrupt and ruthless.

Some people had tried to sue them or report them for their illegal businesses but no concrete evidence was ever found. Lee really wondered how they even managed to get their son admitted in their University...

Storm sauntered over to the boy with her icy glare still on him," I don't care who your family is. You are in my class now and you will follow my rules or you can pack your bags and leave."

Jin Fanxing scowled in annoyance," Who do you think you are?! I can get you fired in a snap if I want to so mind how you speak to me." He smirked as he threatened.

Lee wanted to laugh, he really really wanted to laugh at the boy's foolishness but he kept his composure." You're really irritating. Get out of my class and don't come back or the next time I see your face I'll personally deliver you to your father and trust me, he won't even recognize you once I'm done with you." Storm replied in a cold and calculative voice that made every student in class cower in fear. Jin Fanxing took his bag and ran out of the class.

"Anyone else?"

When no one dared to speak up again, Storm turned to Lee." I shall take it from here, thank you for accompanying me, President Gu." She told him.

Lee shook his head, he knew she wanted to keep things professional between them at work. But he did not want her to make any more compromises for him, he did not care what people thought of him. Gu Liang went through a lot to get this woman and he'd be damned if he let the society snatch her from him. Same goes for Aelle, they're both his girls and anyone who had a problem with that will have to answer to him.

He walked over to her, cupped her cheek and kissed her forehead lovingly. He heard gasps and some squeals but he ignored it all," Thank you. You did not have to do this but still you are helping so I thank you."

"This is your family's legacy which makes it my legacy too. This is my family and I'll do anything to protect it." She said firmly, her expression was still blank but Lee knew better.

"I love you." He said, she stared at him silently without any reply. He knew she preferred to let her actions speak than utter words out. He smiled softly before leaving the class.

Most people would be hurt or offended that she did not say it back. Lee knew Storm had been through a lot her entire life. The ignorance she had to endure from her family and then the people who came into her life pretending to be her friends only to use her for money and status. No one had ever truly showed Storm what a real family is or what love is. She had always been lonely and shunned yet she never gave up. Storm was not born with a heart of stone, maybe she was not a cheerful baby and more like the silent type.

She certainly wasn't emotionless though, like every child, she too had craved the attention of her parents. She craved their love and care. Like any other toddler, she too had innocent dreams and wanted to have friends or go to Disneyland. She wanted to play with her brothers, she wanted to be Daddy's little girl and mommy's princess. She wanted her brothers to love her like a real brother does his baby sister.

When it became clear that she'd never have any of that, she stopped dreaming about it. Over time, she stopped wishing for it and even carrying. And the moment she realized that even though she considered them family, they did not care whether she lived or died, Storm withdrew herself completely. She stopped considering herself a part of their family and does as soon as she was  at a legal age, she moved out. Lee had to watch her bury herself in work over the years, he found out how her family treated her and her was enraged. He was more than happy to help when she decided to disown her family cutting them out of her life forever.

Of course, now she was just Storm without a surname but Lee promised himself that he'd love her and care for her with every bit of his soul. He'll give her everything she ever wanted and more. He'll give a real family that was going to love her, true friends that would stand by through thick and thin and love. So much love and happiness that she'll forget all her pain. It was not just Storm who needed all this, it was Aelle as well and the triplets.

Gu Liang swore to himself that he'd do whatever it takes to keep them all happy. Even if he had to do it for the rest of his life.
