/An hour before/

He had gotten into the palace using the secret passage exhausted like one who had the weight of the world upon his shoulders, which may be true considering where he had gone to and what he'd gone to do there.

After seeing the image of that deadman hovering around his subconscious like he owed him a dammed thing, which wasn't so. It had been a fair duel, the last wolf alive would was all that mattered. A fight initiated by the fool without realizing he was up against a Lycan.

And how his equally foolish followers go around burying his cursed remains around his territory like they owned the place.

He wanted not to let it bother him, to let them throw their best and watch how he reminds them of the end that met their master, but as much as he wouldn't like, it was the only thing that he thinks about these days.

He wasn't the best man out there but his loyalty to a person and a course knew no bounds. But then, of late its been going the other way with betrayals coming from left and right. Everyone he now sees like they have something hidden behind their smiles and it irks him to the bone.

Even Zeus wasn't left out in the agitation. Something was coming and he knew not of the direction it was coming from.

The King matched into his room leaving the doors wide open. Whatever or whosoever would dare to get into his room was surely worthy enough for him to engage. He turned off all the lights letting himself bask in the darkness like a beast awaiting it's prey.

He enjoys the dark and relishes in it and he also likes the way his mind clears up when upon such situation. Everything floats away, his worries, the traitors, the silly council men, his nosy mother and Her.

His fucking wife, Melima.

Razhal would never ask her of her real name, for it would make her lie seem real. He was prepared to dwell in that delusion for both of them, because doing otherwise would be her death.

He gingerly removed his upper garments leaving only the trousers. Then in same way moved towards the far end of the room, where the moon's glow couldn't reach.

There was an old chain there, the oldest piece of furniture he ever had. It held no deep meaning besides the fact it somehow reminded him of his younger self, of a time when he hadn't been tainted by blood of both the innocent and guilty. Of a time when he used to hope for the impossible; a life with his Soul mate.

Shaking his head he grabbed a jar of wine at a cupboard within his reach and while unscrewing it he sat down on the chair. He had barely only taken the first gulp when someone tiptoed into the room.

He felt Zeus stir from his slumber like the beast he was and they both waited for the sneaky animal. But he became surprised when it turned out to be his Queen, sneaking in like some alley thief.

So he waited.

He saw her in all her form, there was nothing the flimsy nightdress could cover.

Along with his extreme vision he could see the female and everything that made her a female. Razhal agreed she was a Yuri sent to bewitch him with her body that was made for sin.

The King wondered how he hadn't seen this part of her; the feminine part and the two mounds of flesh that jutted out like some flamboyant peacock out to seduce everything within it's reach.

Or had she kept them away only to be seen by her lover? The thought marred his face with a frown.

Seeing her right now, she was bereft of resentment only replaced with inquisitiveness as she rummaged through his belongings looking for what only she would know.

He saw her move to the drawers, then the table and finally she got lost in his many archived books dated decades back. She began to go close to the bookshelf and he knew it was time to stop her.

Jerking up on his feet he silently moved to stand behind her and then he saw the open book on the flat side of the shelf. Oberion had been going over some reports sent by the royal spies that littered the kingdom. Such a thing should not been seen by someone untrustworthy like her.

He already moved to reach for her when she got startled and began to fall backwards. There was no thinking as logic fled the window. Razhal only moved according to his instincts to protect.

It was a part of him that had been dormant for a long time. There haven't been any need to save anyone since he took the throne. Because he had only been ruled by logic and statistics. If the numbers are right then there would be no need for casualties, and they are always right.

He befriends only the strong and sees death just the way it is; a necessary end to all living things. If something got to the point of needing saving then that was a flaw that needs total removal.

But all that logic was gone and the dammed instinct took over his body. His body wedged her from falling but yet he refused to step back.

He may only know a few things about this female, all which were still unconfirmed but at this moment he could swear she wanted him, very badly at that. Her arousal was thick in the air and a certain type of chill washed over him. It wasn't yet winter but his body was beginning to freeze up as if asking for warmth.

Razhal caught the sight of her face gazing up at him and he surrendered to his own body. Which was bad because that would mean giving control to Zeus.

Unable to resist the overwhelming need, she strained to meet him on tiptoe and wrapped her arms around his neck.

She ached to be closer and welcomed his thigh between hers, trapping it. She could feel the moist expression of her lust between her thighs, moistening her panties, and moved subtly against him.

The pulse between her legs beat for release.

He tore his mouth away and moved it down, trailing kisses along her jaw, down to her neck. Verona's head fell back and hit the shelf causing the heavy wood to shake but she didn't even notice the brief pain.

All the muscles in her neck corded as she felt his hand move to cup one silk-covered mound, feeling, caressing through the fabric and then, with his thigh still holding her in place, his mouth sought her, surrounded the

peak and nipped through the fabric.

Her back arched and she could feel herself starting to shatter into tiny pieces. Nothing had ever prepared her for this wealth of feelings and sensations. She wanted to add 'not even Omar' at the end but quenched the idea.

Before she could lose it completely he pulled back. The redhead opened glazed eyes

and looked into his as if wondering why he stopped. He could see a pained expression in their depth.

"I want you..." his husky voice muttered in a whisper as if not wanting the darkness to hear. She starred at him before her eyes trailed down and rested on his neck. A black twine necklace circled his neck and at the center was a tiny gourd, just like Farah had described.

Verona imagined the many ways she could snatch it away without him noticing. But all she thought of were too risky to accomplish. But then again she couldn't miss such an opening especially since he wasn't in his right frame of mind.

His mouth descended on hers again swallowing her gasp of surprise, but this time it was no longer a caress. It was commanding, forceful and meant to punish. She tried to push away but he instead pulled her up to straddle him.

"My King...my kin...your Highness pleasee..."

But there was no answer rather grunts of pleasure.

"When you are with me, you are not allowed to think." He eventually managed to say between kisses.

"But how can i not think. When—when you know of my lie. Your highness...how can you still want to do this with me...don't you hate me?

Something in his body went cold and he broke the kiss himself.

His thoughts raced even though he didn't want to think, even though he had just warned her of the same thing right no.

"No Melima" his voice came out hoarse "I don't hate you. If i did you wouldn't be alive to know it. People i hate only end up one way...Dead."

Using his two big hands he clasped them on her bottom that was now bare to his touch. He squeezed it hard enough to get a grunt from her.

"I desire you...badly might i add. I want you...your body, your pleasure...all of it. I do not care about your name, that is useless to me. So keep hate away from your little lying mouth when you speak of this..." he moved a finger from his chest to hers "thing between us. It's all sexual, nothing else"

Verona was stupefied for a few moments as she could only gaze up at him. But the Lycan was serious about not allowing her think, so with a ruthlessness that made him feel on safer ground, he bent over her supine body, found her mouth and took it again. Cruelly, to sate his hunger and to ignite hers.

She lay rigid at first, as if in rejection of his words, but then slowly he could feel the tremor build until she was his again.
