Chapter 19: Some Things are not up for Discussion

As Angela left the courthouse, someone called her name. She turned to find Peter running toward her. He was wearing a new grey suit with a blue silk pocket square, his briefcase swinging at his side. He flashed her a smile, his white teeth gleaming in the sunlight.

He really was a handsome devil. It was part of his charm. However, her appreciation for him went much deeper than his looks. Over the past two years, Peter had proven himself to be one of the most supportive and loyal people she'd ever known. Throughout her pregnancy and Rory's birth, he'd been there helping her every step of the way. He covered for her at work and spent Saturdays shopping and doing her laundry. No one could ask for a better friend.

"You were great in there," Peter said, barely breathing hard as he caught up with her. He worked out five times a week and it showed in his lean body and cat-like agility. "I only caught the last few minutes of the verdict, but that guy didn't know what hit him."
