Chapter 34: Griffin’s POV More Than the Food was Spicy

The rest of the evening went smoothly. George’s cabbage rolls were the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, and he topped them off with a simple flan for dessert. As usual, Angela ate heartily, and Griffin enjoyed watching her. He loved the way she savored every bite,?indulging in a second helping. Some of the girls he’d dated barely picked at their food and shied away from carbs like they were poison. Angela had no such qualms. Her body was fit and athletic and she nourished it appropriately.

“You outdid yourself tonight,” Angela told George as she sipped her coffee. “Everything was delicious.”

“Yes, my compliments to the chef,” Griffin echoed. “I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed it. Restaurant food is nice, but there’s nothing like a home-cooked meal.”
