The floggers faced the duke after Aadish's last scream, mere plaything, an entertainment, in the middle of the clearing.

"Carry on!" the baron of Soondi shouted with a loud roar, his eyes watering and his fingers shaky. All around him could see, even the knights that watched like blank statures trembled upon such objective cruelty.

The night was young, the forest dampened all sound, the cloud gathering as if watching, and the owls too enjoyed as their sharp round eyes blinked upon each flog. Each flog, another after another, then another.

Each causing a howl of a wounded dog, blood curling and bone chilling. Yet, the nature and creatures watched with a blank stare filled with sympathy.

"Let's enjoy this," Dareon said, tilting his head to Hubert, while smirking wide and crossing his arms.
