Chapter 78: Peter and Hermione

When Peter rushed out of the hospital, looking at the different environment around him, he suddenly felt very surprised. But before he had time to think, his Spidey sense kept reminding him that the danger was not far away. So he continued to shoot out the spider silk, using the force to drag himself along, and escaped into the distance.

For a moment, while jumping between buildings, Peter could clearly see the entire empty New York. His eyes were a little frightened, and after running forward for a while, his instinct told him that he was safe. He stood on the roof of an apartment building and looked around. There was no one, not even a sound, as if he was the only one in the world. A fear arose in his heart. He now missed his Aunt May and Ned and wanted to hear any human voice.

Suddenly, Peter found a circle of sparks rising from the rooftop opposite where he had stayed before. From the circle walked out the mysterious man whom he had just met in the hospital. Immediately afterwards, the entire rooftop was rolling and changing, and the mysterious man just stood on the rooftop and took a gentle step. The surrounding buildings spontaneously moved to his feet, carrying the opponent flying toward him from mid-air.

Suddenly, Peter's hair stood up, and his Spidey sense told him that danger was coming. Peter quickly continued to shoot spider silk into the distance to use his strength to escape. At this moment, Lockhart controlled the surrounding buildings to fly towards Peter. He felt that Spider-Man Peter's reaction was really good—he ran too fast. In such an empty city, as soon as he used the portal to capture the opponent's stopping place, the opponent ran away. Tsk tsk tsk, it's really slippery!

Looking at Peter who kept running away into the distance, controlling the Sling Ring, Lockhart opened a portal again, but just as he stepped through it, Peter ran away again. He repeated it several times, but basically, he didn't get close to within 100 meters of Spider-Man. Lockhart also tried to use magical obstacles to slow down the opponent, but he didn't know if this Spidey sense was too good, and the other party quickly dodged it. It has to be said that the superheroes in the Marvel world have a lot of skills, not to mention Spider-Man, who is very famous in the entire Marvel world.

The portal opened again; this time Lockhart did not step directly in but pointed his wand and cast a spell—Sonorus!

Cough!

Lockhart coughed lightly, and after feeling that the volume of his voice was good, he shouted loudly, "Peter, don't run away. Don't worry, I won't attack you this time. If you run again, I will leave the Mirror Dimension, and you won't be able to get out by then." Hearing Lockhart's somewhat threatening words, Peter stopped jumping and hesitated. His Spidey sense told him that the other party didn't seem to be lying, nor did he have much malice. Moreover, he was also a little afraid of the current environment. If the other party really leaves, how will he go home?

The most important thing is that the two of them don't seem to have any major conflicts, and he doesn't want to fight it out. After thinking for a while, Peter's inner hesitation took over, and he ran towards Lockhart. Seeing this, Lockhart continued to maintain the portal while taking a few steps back. Soon, he saw Peter walking through the portal and walking in front of him.

"Who are you? Where is this place? Why are you targeting me?"

Maybe he felt that Lockhart didn't have too much malice. Peter was a little hesitant at first, but then he spoke, demanding answers. Peter's performance immediately reminded Lockhart of Hermione, the chattering little witch. It gave him a sense of instant nostalgia. But at the same time, a strange idea also appeared in Lockhart's mind. When Spider-Man meets Hermione, what will the two do?

Lockhart shook his head slightly, shook off his inner thoughts, calmed down, and said to Peter in front of him, "Okay, okay, don't ask anymore. If you ask again, just stay in the Mirror Dimension alone."

Hearing the obviously threatening tone of the other party, Peter immediately covered his mouth to indicate that he would stop talking. But he still asked in a low voice, "What should I call you?"

After Lockhart heard this, he pondered for a moment and then said calmly, "Call me wizard."

"Okay, Mr. Wizard," Peter nodded quickly and said. "When can we leave here?"

Sensing the urgency in Peter's tone, Lockhart raised his eyebrows, a smile flashing across his face. However, he touched the Sling Ring in his hand, opened a portal, and said softly to Peter, "Okay, cross this portal, and we can return to the hospital."

Peter looked at the familiar scene opposite and ran over excitedly. Then, Lockhart stepped in and returned to the hospital. After waving his hand to close the portal, Lockhart looked at Peter, who was staring at him, and said calmly, "Why are you still here? Maybe you want to experience the Mirror Dimension again."

Hearing Lockhart's cold voice, Peter quickly shook his head, hesitated, and then thanked him, "No, Mr. Wizard. I'll leave first."

With that said, Peter ran to the place where his own blood was, peeled off the label of the test tube, and reattached it to the blood test tube he had prepared in advance. Taking his own blood, he ran outside. In this scene, Lockhart did nothing to stop him. After Peter left, he walked to the place where Peter's blood test tubes were originally placed and pointed his wand at the blood test tube on the left.

Revelio!

Soon, a spell was cast, revealing the true identity of the blood test tube—Peter Parker's blood. Well, after Peter drew blood and left, Lockhart used a confusion spell to affect the position of the blood tube placed by the blood drawer. With another Transfiguration, the fake blood test tube would naturally turn into a lifelike one.

As for the effect, Lockhart roughly estimated that it would only last for a day in the Harry Potter world, but it would probably last about a week in the Marvel world. Within a week, unless Peter Parker used ice to keep it fresh, the blood would definitely stink.

Afterwards, Lockhart put away Peter's blood tubes and prepared them for Snape to study. Maybe with the other party's level of potions, he could develop some good stuff. It would be best if he could replicate Peter's Spidey sense. That would be great. After everything was done, Lockhart looked at the damaged areas in the examination room due to the battle between the two and waved his wand.

Reparo!

Soon, the traces of the previous battle completely disappeared, as if nothing happened. Seeing this, Lockhart nodded slightly and walked out of the lab. At the same time, he lifted the Muggle-repelling spell he had cast before the battle. Lockhart cast a Disguise spell on himself and rushed outside the hospital. Today's two tasks were completed very well. So it's time to go back and finish today's reading task. There are only 2 days left until his return to the world of Harry Potter.

Vientiane Book Cafe, Study Room 101.

Lockhart sat next to the slender desk. Three teacups and a pot of hot tea were already placed on the desk. Lockhart sat on the left, poured himself a glass, and tasted it slowly. Opposite, there were only two empty teacups, as if they were waiting for two guests. Soon, a sparkling circular portal appeared next to the study. Kaecilius and Morin stepped in. Seeing this, Lockhart had a faint smile on his face and said, "Good morning."
