‘’Marry me.’’ 

Leona glared at the man who had the audacity to say those words, ‘’I can’t wait to kill you and you have the audacity to ask me to marry you. Aren’t you afraid I would kill you when you are sleeping?”

‘’I don’t mind.’’ 

‘’Get lost!’’ she snapped. 

A few days later: 
The man lowered his head, looking deep into her eyes, his gaze sincere, ‘’Marry me.’’

Leona looked at the man speechlessly and waved her hand, ‘’You are my ex-husband.’’ 

Although they were on better terms now, but there was no way they were getting romantically entangled ever again. 

An eternity later: 
‘’Won’t you marry me?” 

Leona looked at the man who was standing at a little distance from her, tears brimmed in her eyes as she spoke, ‘’I am in a pathetic state and I might implicate you too. I don’t know what’s happening to me and I don’t know what the future holds. I don’t even know who I am or what my past is…’’ 

The man covered the distance between them and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer, ‘’Do I look like I care?” 

As his words fell, her lips were captured in a fiery kiss that knocked the breath out of her.

Svetlana stood up and caressed Leona's head slowly as she spoke, ''In the future, no matter which man you find for yourself, you will have my blessings as long as he is true to. If his identity is below yours, then also you don't have to be worried. I will back you up.''

Leona looked up at the woman and she continued speaking, ''I know my boundaries, my dear and Aunt will never meddle in matters like your romantic relationships. But not that man.''

The woman did not have to mention the name for Leona to understand who she was talking about.

''A person who broke your heart once will rip it out if you give him another chance.''

But when Svetlana saw that she remained indifferent at the mention of Zayden, she was completely relieved.

The woman stayed in the hospital and discussed about the events that led to such an accident with Leona. After knowing the details, she frowned.
