‘’Marry me.’’ 

Leona glared at the man who had the audacity to say those words, ‘’I can’t wait to kill you and you have the audacity to ask me to marry you. Aren’t you afraid I would kill you when you are sleeping?”

‘’I don’t mind.’’ 

‘’Get lost!’’ she snapped. 

A few days later: 
The man lowered his head, looking deep into her eyes, his gaze sincere, ‘’Marry me.’’

Leona looked at the man speechlessly and waved her hand, ‘’You are my ex-husband.’’ 

Although they were on better terms now, but there was no way they were getting romantically entangled ever again. 

An eternity later: 
‘’Won’t you marry me?” 

Leona looked at the man who was standing at a little distance from her, tears brimmed in her eyes as she spoke, ‘’I am in a pathetic state and I might implicate you too. I don’t know what’s happening to me and I don’t know what the future holds. I don’t even know who I am or what my past is…’’ 

The man covered the distance between them and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer, ‘’Do I look like I care?” 

As his words fell, her lips were captured in a fiery kiss that knocked the breath out of her.

Kate opened her mouth, wanting to say yes to chase the man away but seeing the amount of food that he had brought and the anticipation on his face, she could not bring herself to.

In the end, she sighed, ''No, I was just going out to make arrangements for it.''

''That means I caught you on time,'' the man's eyes sparkled, ''Very well then. Let me go and meet sister-in-law by myself.''

When Kate heard that, her face changed slightly.

If Nico were to go inside then Leona would know all the things related to Zayden that she lied to her about.

"I don't think she would be pleased to see your face right after see opened her eyes.

Seeing the woman's sassy face, Nico gritted his teeth, ''What do you mean by she would not want to see my face? I know my sister-in-law the best. The more she sees me, the more she adores my peeled-egg-handsome appearance. So, you are in no position to stop me from blessing her with my beauty.''
