‘’Marry me.’’ 

Leona glared at the man who had the audacity to say those words, ‘’I can’t wait to kill you and you have the audacity to ask me to marry you. Aren’t you afraid I would kill you when you are sleeping?”

‘’I don’t mind.’’ 

‘’Get lost!’’ she snapped. 

A few days later: 
The man lowered his head, looking deep into her eyes, his gaze sincere, ‘’Marry me.’’

Leona looked at the man speechlessly and waved her hand, ‘’You are my ex-husband.’’ 

Although they were on better terms now, but there was no way they were getting romantically entangled ever again. 

An eternity later: 
‘’Won’t you marry me?” 

Leona looked at the man who was standing at a little distance from her, tears brimmed in her eyes as she spoke, ‘’I am in a pathetic state and I might implicate you too. I don’t know what’s happening to me and I don’t know what the future holds. I don’t even know who I am or what my past is…’’ 

The man covered the distance between them and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer, ‘’Do I look like I care?” 

As his words fell, her lips were captured in a fiery kiss that knocked the breath out of her.

And her other hand was aiming a gun at the snake.

What filthy thing was that? Where did it come out from?

''You filthy thing. Your whole family filthy things!"

Leona's jaw dropped. Initially, she was just disgusted and stunned by the sudden appearance of this snake.

But this time she was in disbelief.

A snake that can speak human language? And it can read her thoughts?

But before she could say a single word, there were sounds of hurried footsteps outside her room.

Leona recognzed the sound of the few shadow guards and she knew that they must have heard her scream which is why they rushed here.
