‘’Marry me.’’ 

Leona glared at the man who had the audacity to say those words, ‘’I can’t wait to kill you and you have the audacity to ask me to marry you. Aren’t you afraid I would kill you when you are sleeping?”

‘’I don’t mind.’’ 

‘’Get lost!’’ she snapped. 

A few days later: 
The man lowered his head, looking deep into her eyes, his gaze sincere, ‘’Marry me.’’

Leona looked at the man speechlessly and waved her hand, ‘’You are my ex-husband.’’ 

Although they were on better terms now, but there was no way they were getting romantically entangled ever again. 

An eternity later: 
‘’Won’t you marry me?” 

Leona looked at the man who was standing at a little distance from her, tears brimmed in her eyes as she spoke, ‘’I am in a pathetic state and I might implicate you too. I don’t know what’s happening to me and I don’t know what the future holds. I don’t even know who I am or what my past is…’’ 

The man covered the distance between them and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer, ‘’Do I look like I care?” 

As his words fell, her lips were captured in a fiery kiss that knocked the breath out of her.

''You want this lord to walk out of here?"

''You fierce woman… Sooner or later, you will regret behaving in this manner with this Lord,'' the cat raised one of its paw as it narrowed its eyes.

Leona smiled. She smiled very gently.

It was fine when she was not smiling and lashing out at it. But seeing the gentle smile on her face, the cat's tail stiffened. It suddenly had a bad feeling.

And its bad feeling came to fruition as in the next moment, the woman raised her leg and kicked it out of the closet without a second thought.

As the cat bounced up and down and reached out of the room, its eyes were filled with disbelief. Next moment, it burst in fury, ''The audacity!!"

Leona was the least bit concerned about its mental state.

She turned around and looked at her reflection in the mirror. Her face was still a bit pale.
