A pure white carriage was traveling through the lands of Azure Moon Kingdom, it had cloud shaped patterns carved on the sides of hit, with six beautiful pure white beasts pulling it.
If Horo saw them he would think the beasts looked just like horses but larger, more muscular, and much more beautiful.
Inside of the carriage was a beautiful young lady and her attendant.
The attendant spoke "Your mother is much kinder than I expected. How often do you pay her a visit?"
The young miss replied "Well what do you expect, she was once a part of the palace as well, you know that all of our member's nature is intrinsically kind. I used to pay my mother a visit once a year, but my grandmother recently put limitations on my visits to see her."
The attendant raised a brow and asked "Why would the palace master do that? Does she not care about your feelings?"
The young miss shook her head and said "It's not like that, she's just highly upset about my mothers past actions, and she also thinks being around my mother too much will influence me to follow in her foot steps. On top of that she says I need to focus on growing my strength because I haven't been progressing as fast as I was prior to meeting my mother."
The attendant responded in surprise "No wonder, she sent us on this journey without a real guardian."
The young miss laughed and said "You have to be crazy to truly believe we don't have a guardian watching over us, I'm sure we have one, but they were probably ordered to not interfere unless absolutely necessary."
The attended rubbed the back of her head, made an embarrassed look before saying "Oh right, how could I be foolish enough to believe palace master would allow her beloved granddaughter to roam this dangerous world alone with no essential protection."
They suddenly heard knocking on the carriage and a voice came right after "Young miss there is something you need to see out here."
It was the one guiding the carriage, a Lord stage expert, named shin.
"What is it" she replied.
Shin said "It's best if you take a look yourself.
She then stepped out of the carriage and her attendant followed behind her. When they stepped out they were immediately stunned by what they saw.
They say a young man, that couldn't be no more than sixteen, by the looks of his face. His body's build surprised that because he was extremely fit and compact, but that wasn't as surprising and unnerving as the gory state it was currently in.
They could see gashes so deep that his black bones showed. A lot of his flesh was missing or hanging on by a thread, especially his left arm, the entire arm looked like it would fall off if he stood up.
The young miss immediately rushed to the young man before she could think of anything else in order to check his condition.
She activated a skill she had, named [Pure Touch], in order to try healing him.
As she applied her palms on his back she recognized a blackish light flickering trying to repel her Pure Touch, but she increased her mana input and the skill potency raged and began healing his flesh slowly.
She thought that it must be poison that's fighting back against her attempt to heal him, which was why her skill was working, but much slower than it normally would with this kind of mana expenditure.
She didn't know that Horo had a special physique, and beyond that something like negative energy.
His negative energy was actively fighting against her skill that used her primary technique as a basis for its utilization.
His negative energy completely opposed the nature of her technique, but luckily he exhausted it all, and it was only his physique putting up the fighting.
His physique still deserves a lot of credit because she was actually much stronger than him.
Horo was only a foundation stager, Yet he was only able to defeat beast much stronger than him. This was possible because of his negative energy, abilities and most importantly his knowledge and experience. Those advantages wouldn't be as relevant against other advancers.
Besides being naturally stronger physically and in terms of energy quality in most cases, beast depended on evolution and mutations which might not occur for every tier, and might not even occur for some beast at all.
The strength difference in stages was a massive chasm and is much more promising. Each stage comes with special benefits that the stage prior doesn't offer.
One advantage Horo held against other practitioners is his path of cultivation. The only thing is the first couple of realms of cultivation don't offer much.
The foundation realm pretty much just prepare one for cultivation, granting them super human like qualities and the ability to safely began cultivating.
The core formation realm establishes the energy reserves giving cultivators the ability to use special techniques that require energy, and can also set the standard for its quality of cultivated properly.
But after those two realm the benefits offered from cultivation are astronomical.
As of now though Horo probably could fight someone a stage above him, but not someone like Felix whose talent is among the top in his generation.
This young miss happens to be the same as Felix.
....
I've healed him enough to stop the bleeding, but we have to get him to the palace for further treatment because whatever he has been inflicted with during what I guess was a tough battle for him, is rejecting my attempts to heal him.
