*CREAK¡*..

With an almost silent sound, the door closes behind Motana as she walks into the sitting room with most of the people inside Gosgutu's open apartment giving her a casual glance.

Motana has been introduced to Gosgutu's circle of friends about four months ago and during the span of this time, they have all interacted with each other on countless occasions.

Motana cannot say she has gotten close to them but she is good at reading the room enough to be able to know one or two things about their personalities and standings in Gosgutu's circle.

Tora Arlo, the guy who's lazily holding a bunch of darts is a natural martial talent who has sensed mana at an early age of seventeen. Arlo does the minimum to increase his martial powers though the rest of the time he is mostly lazy. Due to Tora family internal politics reasons, Tora Arlo is one to follows Tora Gosgutu's orders however right or wrong with the slightest of hesitation.

Despite being submissive to Gosgutu, Arlo likes yet does not want to be challenged especially martially. Being a natural, Arlo is both arrogant and confident in his martial powers. His arrogance is probably the reason for his lazy nature though in a focused fight, Arlo's danger level is second to very few at the same level.

"She's here!.", Arlo comments with a very sacastic cheer in his voice as he throws another dart accurately into the center of the dart-board.

Recieving a glace from Gosgutu shuts Arlo up as he roll his eyes then looks away.

"You didn't come yesterday.", Gosgutu speaks slowly to Motana who is walking towards him.

"I took a night class on advanced meditation.", Motana replies while giving Gosgutu a short side hug as he plants a soft kiss on her temple.

Taking his gaze off the very confusing scene on the game-board, Mervander turns to ask Motana.

"When you were a martial disciple did you by any chance know Navi?.. Gosgutu is interested in the kid.", Mervander asks to Motana who spares him a glace as she takes a few steps to the bar.

Mervander Vinquin. If Motana wants to describe Mervander with one sentence she would call him 'A mystery with an edge.'.

Like Gosgutu, Mervander is one of the possible heirs of one of the Outskirts three big families.. the Vinquin family.

If one meets Mervander for the first time, smart would be a word to describe him though knowing more about him more adjectives must be used to explain his personality. Mervander is indeed smart though most of the time his impulsiveness over-powers his brains. He is someone to focus more on facts than reason and he cannot bare plain stupidity in display in his presence.

In terms of Martials, Motana has not been able to discover much about Mervander. Mervander is obviously strong though how strong remains a question mark. The only clue that Motana has gotten as to Mervander's strength is his ranking on the power-board.

7th(Seventh). This rank speaks louder than words especially for someone who spends most of his day drinking tea or playing games like he is doing right now.

Taking a bottle of sweet cocoa tea from the bar, Motana responds to Mervander.

"I know a bit about the kid though I'm not close to him.", Motana says casually and although it doesn't seem so, Gosgutu is paying strict attention to this conversation for reasons best known by him.

"Then how do you know him?.", Yamuna asks with her curious eyes on Motana.

"He is pretty easy to spot in a crowd.", Motana responds as she opens up her drink before moving to sit on a couch in the sitting room.

"I did hear that he has some soul-chilling eyes.", Yamuna says with a sigh as she pours herself a shot of wine from the bottle on the stool in front of her.

"Those rumors aren't wrong.. the kid is dangerous.", Motana comments while lightly shaking her head after a sip of her tea.

"Not to me.", Arlo immediately responds to Motana's words while discretely pointing to the fact that Motana is by far the weakest person in the room.

Motana dismissively rolls her eyes at Arlo's pettiness. She can't quite understand why he doesn't like her.

"Arlo.. we should spar later.", Gosgutu says to Arlo while making the later gulp slightly as he immediately turns his attention to the dart-board.

"Apart from what we know, van you tell about a thing or two that makes you think the kid is dangerous?.", Vèdan asks to Motana who's expression lightly shifts.

She(Motana) looks to the dining section only to see that Vèdan who's asked the question has his face on the board.

Vèdan Finaté.

To Mogana, Vèdan is by far the smartest and most dangerous person in Gosgutu's inner circle. Vèdan is a very calm soul. He rarely comments, never pushes for an argument and most of the time people seem to forget that he's present. Though Vèdan rarely talks, Mogana always finds herself wishing that he speaks less.

Vèdan is a master at controling the conversation and right now.. he has steered the conversation in a direction that Motana absolutely wants to avoid and he has done this with nothing but a timely question.

"I just.. feel the kid is dangerous. I haven't had any direct contact with him so I may be wrong.", Motana responds while catching herself almost stuttering.

Turning a glance at Motana, Vèdan looks back at the game-board before commenting with a casual tone.

"Wierd..", Vèdan calmly says as he casually moves a piece across the martial board. Motana frowns lightly at Vèdan comment while a bit disturbed.

"..I thought you had told Gosgutu when he was courting you that you would rather not judge a person by looks or from a distance.", Vèdan says calmly though his words causes Mogana to gulp from well contained embarrassment and anger.

Vèdan has discovered something.

Mogana really wanted to handle it on her own but it seems that Vèdan has somehow cracked the code.

Thinking of this, Mogana slowly turns her gaze to Gosgutu only to see some curiosity in his calm gaze.

'Have Gosgutu found out too?.', Mogana thinks to herself with a bit of anxiety.

Mogana really wants to tell Gosgutu only after she is sure that she cannot do it without his help. Infact, she really wants to do this without his help.

Would Gosgutu see her as a deceiver?.

*!BANG!*..*!BANG!*

A shockingly loud collision noise snaps Mogana out of her thoughts in panic. Looking towards the dining section with her heart racing, Mogana face twicthes from a mix of emotions.

At the dining table, Mervander is currently standing from his seat with his both his hands slammed down by the sides of the game-board. Mervander looks down at the game board in very evident disbelief and then he whispers loudly..

"How?.", Mervander says while obviously in deep disbelief.

"This is the seven hundredth and sixty time I'm wiping you and you still react like this?.", Vèdan says with annoyance evident in his tone.

"Exactly!.. How?.", Mervander asks with his face twicthing in disbelief as to how he has lost once more. He though he had counted all of Vèdan moves.

Looking at the immature scene on display by his friends, Gosgutu's facial muscles twitch slightly and then he speaks.

"But Mogana,.. everyone out."., Gosgutu orders and every ear knows he means his words.
