Paraiso Cafe (1)

*Knock* *Knock*

Christopher Legaspi is currently at his study doing some of his paper works but pauses after hearing a loud knock at the door.

"Come in."

He said while fixing his glasses and combing his slightly disheveled hair with his fingers.

Click.

The door of his study opened and Dr. Lordan entered with folders in his hands.

"Good evening, sir!"

He greeted his boss before walking toward Christopher and handed him the folders.

Christopher took the folders and opened them one by one before he nodded his head in approval.

It is the detailed routine exercise of Antonio for the entire three months.

The other folder contains Antonio's nutrition-filled diet plan for the whole month, which is filled with soft foods only.

"I'll bring you next week the diet plan for the next two months."

Dr. Lordan informed Christopher.

"Thanks, Uncle."

Christopher said with a grateful smile gracing his face to his paternal uncle.

Dr. Lordan also warmly smiled at his eldest brother's son.

"No problem … I'll do anything for this family."

He said as he put his hands inside his lab gown's pockets.

He then sat across Christopher with only the table separating them.

His previous warm expression turned serious after a second.

"I'm glad that Young Master Yoyo has finally woken up, sir … but …"

That sentence made Christopher put down the folders and fix his gaze on their family doctor.

"What do you want me to do with … that man?"

Dr. Lordan continued, making the atmosphere inside the office turn cold.

He looked at his boss whose face bears a very grim appearance.

Christopher's dark expression right now is the very contrast of his warm gaze and soft smiles whenever he is with his sons.

The very moment when Dr. Lordan reminded him of that man, who betrayed his family, made his blood boil and there's only one thing that he wants right now.

"Where is he?"

He asked in an icy tone.

As if already used to it, Dr. Lordan answered in a very calm but serious tone.

"He is living with his family in Phillips, sir."

Phillips, a city in Grand Ashia, known for its hospitality no matter what your background is.

A city that is also sometimes called as the place to start a new beginning.

"Tell the men to bring him to me."

Christopher muttered with gritted teeth as he remembered the day that man almost took someone very important from him.

"That traitor … it is time for him to pay for his sins."

He said as he removed his glasses and stood up.

He opened the drawer under his table, revealing a gun inside it.

He took the gun and placed it in a discreet place on his waist, he then grabbed his blazer and put it on.

Dr. Lordan also stood up from his seat and started walking toward the door, waiting for his boss.

Christopher looks at the clock above the door.

6:07 p.m.

He walks to the door with a folder in his hand and goes outside his study together with Dr. Lordan.

Both of them went to the kitchen first and handed the family chef the folder.

It was the diet plan for Antonio's recovery.

"Serve the dinner at exactly 7 p.m."

He instructed the kitchen crew before leaving the mansion.

. . .

Smooch.

"Hmn."

Antonio opened his eyes when he felt a wet soft thing touch his forehead, followed by a hand caressing his face.

He was about to glare at the culprit who disturbed his sleep but softened his gaze instantly upon seeing his father gazing warmly at him.

"Good morning, Yoyo!"

Christopher lovingly said with a gentle smile on his stunning face.

Antonio sat up and rubbed his eyes.

"Good morning, Dad."

He muttered with a slightly hoarse voice while glancing at the time on the clock above his study table.

It is almost six in the morning.

"Did you just get home, Dad?"

He added when he remembered that his father didn't join them for dinner last night.

According to their family butler, Carlson—it was a very important matter that their father needed to attend to.

"Yes, sorry I was not able to dine with you for dinner last night."

Christopher said in an apologizing tone while caressing his child's hair.

"It's fine, Dad … Butler Carlson explained that it is very important."

Antonio assured his father.

At that moment, they heard a knock at the door.

"Come in."

Antonio hoarsely said and saw the door opening, revealing Dr. Lordan with a tablet in his hand.

"Good morning! It's time for Young Master Yoyo's daily exercise."

. . .

"Dude, did you hear the news?"

A young man sitting at the backseat of the car asked everyone inside the car as he showed them his phone.

It contains an article about how the eleven months comatose son of the CEO of L Corporation is finally awake.

"Oh that? Damn, I was really surprised when I read that article."

"Do you think it's legit?"

The man beside him and the one driving also started joining the gossip.

The man sitting on the passenger seat glanced at them through the rear-view mirror before opening his mouth to speak.

"It is true."

The three men inside the car looked at him with surprise expressions on their faces.

"How do you know that it is true?"

The one driving asked inquisitively, with a slight smirk plastered on his face.

The man on the passenger seat looked at their driver before he frowned.

"Erase that annoying smirk on your face."

"Pfft … our dear friend who doesn't give a damn to anything until now is quite updated to this certain individual involved in the article."

The man in the backseat who is holding the phone with the article in his hand, said while grinning.

"So … how can you say that the article is true, Mikhall?"

Fernando, the one driving, asked since he really is curious about the article.

Mikhall looked outside the window and played with some strands of his blond hair.

"His older brother ditched my father yesterday when they were supposed to have a business lunch meeting."

He said in a subtly sulking tone.

If it were strangers or someone not close to him, they wouldn't notice that he is sulking.

However …

"Hahahahaha!"

"Pfft….hahahahaha."

"Hahaha…are you sulking right now, bro?"

His three friends, who have known him since they were still children, laughed when they saw their supposedly cold friend suddenly acting like this.

Mikhall glared at them one by one which made them halt their laughter.

"Damn man … Is your old man mad?"

Francisco, the one sitting behind the driver asked.

"He's not."

Mikhall answered abruptly.

"Gosh … I heard it a lot of times before but what you said really proves it."

The man sitting behind Mikhall, Pierre, chattered.

Francisco being the number one gossiper among them, leaned closely to Pierre and asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, there are a lot of rumors going around that senior Alden has one hell of a brother complex toward our dear Antonio."

Pierre said in a very excited manner as if it is just the beginning to an hour-long gossip.

"Moreover—agh!"

His gossip was interrupted when a phone hit his forehead.

"F*ck man … what the hell?!"

He screamed at Mikhall, who threw a phone on his face.

"Don't call Yoyo like that."

"What call do you mean? ... oh! ... pfft."

Pierre chuckled after realizing why his friend threw a phone on his face.

He then reached for his phone to go back to look at the article.

He turned on the screen of the phone but paused when he saw the familiar wallpaper despite it not being his.

He is certain that this phone is definitely not his.

It was the phone that landed quite painfully on his face earlier.

It is Mikhall's phone.

'Gosh … he's literally hopeless.'

Pierre thought as he stared at the beautiful face of the man on the screen.

"Just ask him out bro."

He said as he handed the phone to its owner.

Mikhall raised his eyebrows before looking down at his phone's screen.

He quickly took his phone with his cheeks reddening before replying to Pierre.

"Shut up."

"We are here."

Fernando said as he parked their car outside the number one café in their city.

Paraiso Café … this is the most famous café in Hermania city, a part of the country of Grand Ashia.

The four men went out of the car and tread toward the entrance.

As soon as they entered the café, people couldn't help but turn their heads in the direction of the four men..

The four men are all tall and undeniably handsome with their charms distinct from one another.

Fernando is a tall man with tan skin, he has captivating hunter eyes with red irises and reddish brown hair in a flat cut hairstyle.

Francisco, Fernando's brother, is one centimeter shorter than Fernando, with tan skin, hooded eyes, and a flat top haircut for his reddish brown hair.

Pierre, on the other hand has a beige colored skin, and three centimeters taller than Fernando, his eyes are upturned with gray irises, and his platinum blond hair has a short messy hairstyle.

Lastly, the man who garnered the most attention out of them is Mikhall.

He has an ivory skin and the tallest of them all with his height being 185 centimeters tall.

He has deep set eyes with gold irises, and his blond hair is that of a medium mullet style.

The combination of these four gorgeous men inside the café made people, especially ladies excited in their seats.

A waiter approached them with a smile on his face.

"Good morning, sirs! Did you book for a private area on the second floor or are you going to sit here on the ground floor?"

Pierre smiled and replied to the waiter.

"We book a private area under the name 'Pierre'."

The waiter scrolled on his tablet and smiled at them.

"Certainly! This way, dear customers!"

They followed the waiter guiding them and soon, they arrived at their private area on the second floor.

It was not entirely private as you can still see the other customers on the same floor as them.

The one thing that made it private is the distance between the tables.

Each table is far enough from each other in a way that the customers from the other table can't hear what the customers in the other tables are saying—given that they use their normal voice, not a loud one.

"What would you like to have, sirs?"

The waiter asked them while handing the menu to Pierre.

Pierre politely accepted it but didn't give it a glance…he just put it on the table.

"I'll have an espresso and two croissants."

Pierre said and looked toward his friends.

"Lemon tea and grilled fingerlings."

"Lemon tea and asian pear salad for me."

Francisco and Fernando consecutively announced their order.

"Large french fries and green tea."

Mikhall also stated his order.

Then the waiter enumerated it one by one before leaving after they confirmed their orders.

Once the waiter left, Pierre smiled widely while looking at Mikhall.

Not just Pierre, but both Francisco and Fernando are grinning at him as well.

"What?"

He asked in a slightly annoyed tone, noting that each one of his friends had a mischievous grin on their face.

"Well … I'm just … impressed."

Pierre said with a satisfied smile on his face as he looked around the café.

"Man, your crush is on another level."

He added, making Francisco nod his head in agreement.

"Our families are rich but the Legaspi are really on another level … their family is the real big shot among the big shots."

Francisco muttered as he stared at the finest silk table clothing and the glamorous chandeliers hanging inside the café.
