Paraiso Cafe (2)

Inside Antonio's room, Dr. Lordan stands near the door with a tablet in his hand.

"It's time for Young Master Yoyo's daily exercise."

He reiterated his previous statement while looking directly at his boss and his boss' son.

"Today is Wednesday, February 12, 3024 … let's go do some simple exercises, Young Master Yoyo."

He added in a professional manner, while silently noting that today is Antonio's second day since he woke up from coma.

He gazed at the clock on top of Antonio's table and lamented upon seeing the time.

Three minutes until six o'clock in the morning.

'Damn, I didn't get any sleep because we needed to find and clean someone up the whole night.'

Dr. Lordan complained internally while glancing at his boss, who seems to be in a good mood right now while holding his son's hand.

Both of them went out last night to take care of something.

They had just arrived back at the mansion ten minutes ago.

And now, here he is.

He needs to do his job of assisting Antonio to exercise for his recovery.

He needs to do that without having a wink of sleep.

"Good morning, Dr. Lordan."

Antonio greeted him while getting off the bed.

Christopher moved away from Antonio and said.

"I'll go to my study now, Yoyo."

Antonio nodded his head as he gazed at his father who was heading toward the door.

"Dad."

Christopher turned around when he heard his son calling him.

"Please take a good sleep."

Antonio said while looking straight into Christopher's eyes.

Christopher, who was initially planning to go to his study and start working, smiled after understanding what his son is doing.

It is not a simple statement that you can just ignore.

He could see the pleading gaze of Antonio, so he smiled and answered.

"Okay … this father of yours will head straight to his room and take a good rest."

. . .

At the back of the Legaspi mansion is a scenic garden.

As sunshine makes its appearance, radiating into the green leaves and the pretty flowers, the garden becomes more enchanting to the beholders.

Antonio, who was strolling around the garden as part of his exercise, can't help but be captivated by its view.

He stopped on the lawn of their garden and stood there while inhaling the fresh air.

He looked toward Dr. Lordan who accompanied him and was monitoring his list of exercises.

"Let's do some stretching here, Young Master."

Dr. Lordan said and started demonstrating the positions for stretching.

Antonio started doing forward circles with his arms.

Noticing that he seems to not have any problems with doing that, Dr. Lordan opened his mouth.

"To be honest … your condition is quite strange, Young Master Yoyo."

He commented in a factual tone.

Antonio stopped rotating his arms and looked at Dr. Lordan's direction for explanation.

"Most of the patients who underwent coma, even if it were half a year, would have a hard time walking or even raising their hands."

He explained and stared directly into Antonio's brown irises.

Antonio moved his body to completely face the family doctor.

The moment he changed his body's angle and the sun rays gently touched his profile, his already beautiful brown irises turned into a magnificent shade of orange.

Dr. Lordan felt his mind turning blank as he witnessed this.

It has been a year since he had last witnessed this kind of thing.

A happening that he will never ever get used to despite it happening a lot of times in front of him since Antonio was still a child.

It is a very spectacular view for him to just get used to it.

"Dr. Lordan?"

Antonio called out to him, making him regain his composure.

"Well, don't worry about it though—it's not a bad thing, rather it is a very wonderful thing."

He said pertaining to Antonio's condition of being able to walk as soon as he woke up from coma.

Antonio nodded his head to show that he understood what the doctor was saying.

"It's really peculiar."

He whispered to himself but didn't really think about it hard after hearing what Dr. Lordan said next.

"Think about it as a blessing from God because you are a kind person."

Dr. Lordan said with a subtle smile on his face as he looked up at the sky.

He then added.

"Now, let's continue doing your exercise."

"Right."

Antonio responded and continued doing light exercises that Dr. Lordan is instructing him to do.

They continued that for almost an hour before stopping.

"Let's stop here for now, Young Master."

Their family doctor said while giving him a bottle of water.

"Okay, thanks Dr. Lordan!"

He said as he received the water bottle and drank it.

'I feel refreshed.'

Contrary to his expectation that he will be tired, he is feeling refreshed right now and more energized.

"Yoyo, are you done with your exercise now?"

He turned around after hearing someone from behind him speak.

Alden is wearing a semi-formal attire with gray upper clothing and black pants as if he is planning to go out somewhere.

"Yes, Brother Al."

He answered and smiled toward his older brother.

Alden smiled softly at him before giving him a peck on his cheeks.

"Then, go wash up now … We're gonna eat breakfast outside."

Alden said as he took a look at the time in his watch.

Antonio looked back at their family doctor to know if it is okay for him to eat outside.

"Oh, he already gave his permission for this yesterday."

Alden spoke while walking toward their family doctor.

"Right, Grand Uncle?"

He added while putting one of his arms around Dr. Lordan's shoulder.

"Yes, it's fine … as long as he doesn't eat any food that is hard to digest."

Dr. Lordan replied while moving away from Alden.

Hearing that, Antonio's eyes sparkled in excitement.

'I can sightsee what this world looks like!'

He thought as he started treading toward their mansion.

Once he entered their mansion, he immediately went upstairs to his bedroom.

He then entered the bathroom to take a shower.

He turned on the shower and bathed himself clean there.

After ten minutes, he left the bathroom and headed toward his walk-in closet.

He decided to just wear a comfortable light blue hoodie paired with a white jogging pants.

He then picked a blue skechers shoes then wore it.

He went out of the walk-in closet in an excited manner.

He then saw Alden sitting on his bed while typing something on his phone.

"Brother."

He called out to Alden, who raised his head upon hearing his brother's voice.

"Are you going out like that?"

Alden asked him with a frown while putting his phone in the pocket of his pants.

"Do I look bad?"

Antonio asked back in an innocent manner as he stared at his brother's disapproving look.

Alden quickly responded.

"No, and that's not what I mean."

Alden said as he stood up and went inside Antonio's bathroom.

After a few seconds, he walked out of the bathroom carrying a towel and hair dryer in his hands.

"Oh!"

Antonio muttered as he touched his wet hair.

Alden headed to his position and pushed him gently to sit down on the bed.

After patting Antonio's hair with the towel, Alden turned on the hair dryer, focusing it on his younger brother's wet hair.

"You need to dry your hair after showering so that you won't get sick."

Alden told him in a reminding manner.

After a while, when his hair was fully dry, Alden spoke.

"Your hair is long, aren't you going to cut it?"

Antonio looked at the mirror and saw that his hair already reached his shoulders.

"No … I like this length for my hair."

He answered as he opened the drawer under his table.

He then takes a piece of hair tie from there and ties his hair in a half-bun style.

Alden stared at his younger brother and couldn't help but feel anxious.

'He's so adorable … what if someone will kidnap him?'

"Yoyo, do you want to wear a mask?"

He asked in a worried tone.

"No, it's suffocating."

Antonio immediately replied.

"How about sunglasses?"

"No, I'm good."

Antonio quickly responded to his question again.

"Hat? … or maybe a cap?"

Antonio, sensing that his brother seemed to be concerned about something, stared at Alden before speaking.

"Is there a problem, Brother?"

Alden gazed at his precious younger brother who looked worried about him.

'Yes, what if someone kidnaps you?!'

"No … just asking if you want to wear them."

He said while pinching Antonio's cheeks.

"Never mind if you don't wanna wear them, let's go if you are ready."

He added and started walking out of the room.

. . .

Outside the mansion, Antonio stared at his brother who opened the passenger seat and gestured for him to enter the car.

Antonio then stared at the car before carefully stepping inside and sitting on the passenger seat.

'Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail.'

He thought of the name of the car from his past life that looks like a twin of this one.

Alden entered the driver seat and started the car engine.

He glanced at Antonio then reached his hand to put a seat belt on Antonio's torso.

"Ah, thanks Brother Al."

Antonio said and looked outside the window.

The sun is shining brightly from the sky.

"Will you be okay, Yoyo?"

Alden asked as he put on his seat belt.

Antonio turned to his direction and saw his concerned face.

'He must mean if I am feeling okay inside a car since the original Antonio was involved in a car accident.'

Antonio thought then smiled in a reassuring manner to his older brother.

"I'm fine, Brother."

"Alright … just tell me if you feel any kind of discomfort."

Alden muttered and started driving outside their mansion.

'Wow.'

Antonio can't help but admire the beauty of this world.

He already had a gist before that this world is quite different from his past world based on the body's memory.

However, he was surprised at the level of difference this world and his previous world have.

In this world, he saw different kinds of nationalities mingling with each other on the streets they passed by.

Well, if they are in his previous world, he would definitely call them different nationalities.

However, in this world, those people he saw that looked like they came from different nations are actually all citizens of the country of Grand Ashia.

They were born and grew up here in Grand Ashia.

They are called Grandese.

Antonio continued to enjoy the beautiful view of people, streets, and plants as they passed by for half an hour until their car stopped.

"We're already here, Yoyo."

Alden announced as he parked the car outside a four-story establishment.

It has a huge 'Paraiso Café' phrase carved elegantly on the very top of the building.

The entrance of the café is very classy and very catchy for the passersby.

The moment their car stopped outside the café, people near the café fixed their gazes on the car, waiting for the person or people who would come out of that very expensive car.

Even the customers and the waiters in the ground floor of Paraiso café peered through the tinted glass wall of the store.

Alden and Antonio stepped outside of the car.

The moment they appeared from inside the car, gasps of admiration could be heard from people outside and inside the café.

"Just in time."

Alden said as he looked at his watch.

It was already nine o'clock in the morning.

He told the manager of the café to reserve them a table on the second floor at this time.

"Let's go inside, Yoyo."

He offered his arms to Antonio, which the latter happily held.

Then, they entered the café, ignoring the stares people gave to them.
