Gifts from Brother Yuji

Antonio looked up and stared at the name of the huge eight-story building in front of them.

Behind him is Alden acting like a bodyguard, glaring at everyone who is looking at Antonio.

ACL Mall.

That is the name of the mall.

It is the biggest mall in Grand Ashia located at Hermania city, the country's capital.

It was built fifteen years ago by L Corporation as one of their major businesses.

Christopher Legaspi, the CEO of L Corporation named the mall after his younger son.

Antonio Christian Legaspi … he used the acronym of his son's full name in labeling the mall.

That's why it is called ACL Mall.

Antonio stared at the building's label with nostalgia in his eyes.

In his past life, his father also named a mall after him but a big shot bought it half a year after his family passed away.

He can't help but smile after seeing that in this life, the mall existed and is now the largest shopping center of the country.

He walked toward the entrance of the building and entered through a revolving door.

Alden closely followed behind him.

"Good morning, sirs!"

The two guards greeted them simultaneously.

Antonio smiled at them and replied politely.

"Good morning!"

Alden just nodded at them and immediately followed Antonio who was walking at a very fast pace while looking around for a gadget store inside the mall.

He shook his head and held Antonio's shoulder.

"This way, Yoyo."

He said while holding his younger brother's arm and guided him to the second floor.

They soon saw a gadget store and went inside it.

"Good morning sirs! May I know what kind of item you are looking for?"

A saleslady approached them with a smile.

"Do you have the latest phone model?"

Alden asked as his eyes panned around the store.

FujiTek Gadgets Store.

This is the most trusted store for gadgets.

It offers high-quality gadgets manufactured by FujiTek, a company which is considered to be the biggest manufacturer of technological products.

The store is spacious with a very neat order for the displayed items.

One side is full of TV screens.

On the other side is the section for laptops and tablets.

There is also an area for computer sets.

And lastly, there is a part of the store where only cellphones are displayed.

"Yes sir, this way please."

The saleslady politely answered and started walking.

Antonio followed the lady with Alden on his side.

"These are the latest models of phones released by FujiTek, dear customers."

The saleslady said as she pointed to a table where various high quality phones are resting.

Antonio picked up one of them and turned it on.

It is a red phone.

He checked its specs and everything needed to be checked before putting it down.

It has nice specs but he doesn't like the color of it.

He looked around and saw a phone with a dark metallic blue color.

He stretched his hand to grab it but someone's hand already got a hold of it.

He looked at the owner of the hand with a slightly irritated gaze.

The man in front of him is tall and is wearing a black hoodie with its hood on, so Antonio can't see his face.

"Hey."

Antonio called out to the man.

The man turned to face him and spoke.

"What?"

"I was the one who saw it first."

Antonio said bluntly.

"And so?"

The hooded man also replied in the same blunt tone.

The saleslady who was watching this happening started to internally panic since it is the first time something like this happened at her work.

Antonio was about to open his mouth to speak when Alden appeared to his side and said to the man in front of them.

"Stop playing around, Yuji."

The man in front of them chuckled before taking off his hood, revealing his light brown hair and hazel colored eyes.

"Damn … how did you know?"

He asked while grinning toward Alden.

The saleslady who saw the face of the man sighed in relief when she recognized that it was not some troublemaker customer.

It was her boss.

"Give the phone to Yoyo."

Alden demanded as if he didn't hear the other's question.

The man called Yuji, stared at Antonio for a while before smiling.

"Here you go."

He said as he gave the phone to Antonio and walked toward Alden.

Antonio, upon receiving the phone immediately turned it on and checked if it had problems or not.

Noting that Antonio isn't looking their way, Yuji wrapped one of his arms around Alden's shoulder.

"Al, I have something better than that phone upstairs."

He whispered and planted a kiss on Alden's cheek.

Alden glared at him but he just acted like he didn't do anything wrong.

"If Yoyo isn't satisfied with that one, lead us upstairs."

Alden said while wiping his cheeks with a handkerchief.

Antonio, who had finished checking the phone, sighed in relief when he concluded that everything about the phone satisfied him.

He then looked at Alden who was standing next to Yuji.

"I want this one, brother."

He cheerfully said while waving the phone in his hand.

Alden nodded and faced the saleslady.

"We'll be buying this one."

The saleslady was about to say the price when Yuji spoke.

"Ah, you may leave … I'll handle their purchase."

He said while looking at the saleslady.

The saleslady bowed to him and walked away from them to attend to the other customers.

"You can take it for free."

Yuji said while looking at Alden who was ready to take out his wallet.

"But do you mind going upstairs with me first? Maybe you'll be more satisfied with the gadgets there."

He said while pointing to the stairs toward the second floor.

Antonio gazes at Yuji with a perplexed expression.

'Take the phone for free? Is he the owner of this store?'

Yuji glanced at Antonio's puzzled look and felt the corners of his mouth twitching in amusement.

'He is so easy to read … how cute.'

He went to Antonio and patted his head.

"Yow! Congratulations on regaining your consciousness … Anyway, I'm the owner of this store and your older brother's friend, you can call me 'Brother Yuji'."

He introduced himself to Antonio who seems to be questioning his identity.

"Ah! Hello … I'm Antonio."

Antonio politely said when he finally knew the man's identity.

"Now, let's go upstairs!"

Yuji enthusiastically declared and dragged the Legaspi brothers upstairs.

. . .

"Thank you, Brother Yuji."

Antonio said as they left the FujiTek Gadgets Store.

"No problem."

Yuji replied with a doting smile on his face.

He then glanced toward Alden who was carrying quite a number of shopping bags.

'Ah! Did I go overboard?'

He thought while feeling guilty to see his friend struggling.

Antonio also looked at his brother and noticed that Alden seems to be having a hard time carrying the bags.

So, he said.

"Let me help you carry those bags, Brother Al."

However, instead of giving him some bags, Alden just smiled at Antonio and muttered.

"I'm fine, Yoyo."

He then added on.

"You still haven't recovered your strength, so you're not allowed to carry heavy things yet."

Antonio and Yuji stare at Alden who is obviously struggling with the shopping bags.

'He's right but it's not like I can't carry some of those bags.'

Antonio thought while feeling sorry for his older brother.

Yuji internally sighed as he knew what's going on in the mind of Alden.

'Haaaa … he's trying so hard to look cool in front of his brother.'

There are a total of seven bags of gadgets that Yuji gifted to Antonio.

Laptop, two phones, tablet, headphone, camera, bluetooth speaker, and gaming console.

Because it was the first time Yuji experienced being called 'brother Yuji' with a cheerful tone like Antonio, he can't help but gift him with these many gadgets.

He didn't let them pay and just let Antonio pick whatever he liked in the store.

He forgot one thing though.

Antonio can't carry these things because his body still needs to recover its strength.

And even if Antonio can carry them, he knows that Alden will never allow such a thing to happen.

Another thing he forgot is that Alden never went shopping without an escort that will carry the items he purchased.

So, now, he looked at the two brothers with pity in his eyes.

He then stretched his hands and took four bags from Alden's hands.

"Let's go."

He said as he gestured for the Legaspi brothers to lead the way.

Alden opened his mouth to speak but Yuji interrupted him upon knowing what he wanted to say.

"Don't be stubborn or you're gonna make Yoyo worried if you keep carrying those bags by yourself."

That statement made Alden come to his senses and clicked his tongue.

"Let's go."

He muttered and started walking, not forgetting to offer his arms for Antonio to grab on.

Antonio happily clung to his brother's arm and talked to Yuji who positioned himself beside Alden from time to time.

As the conversation keeps going and as they are nearing the exit door of the mall …

Yuji stared at the Legaspi brothers.

He can't help but feel envious toward Alden.

He also has a brother around Antonio's age but their relationship isn't close.

He envied Alden who has a younger sibling that smiles at him brightly.

He looked at Antonio, who is clinging to Alden and is grinning happily while talking.

'I wish Yoyo was my younger brother.'

He thought while staring at the charming smile of Antonio.

Then he shuddered.

Beside him, Alden is looking at him with an icy expression.

"Ah! You scared me!"

Yuji whined as he stepped away from Alden.

"Tsk!"

Alden clicked his tongue before heading toward his car with Antonio beside him.

"You can go in first, Yoyo."

Alden said as he pressed his car key fob while pointing it to his car's direction.

His car made a sound of being unlocked, so he opened the door to the passenger seat and allowed Antonio to get in first.

He then faced Yuji who was standing behind him carrying the shopping bags.

They stared at each other for a while before he sighed.

"Thanks for the gifts for Antonio."

Alden said in a grateful tone before smiling at Yuji.

"You're welcome and congratulations for Antonio's recovery of consciousness."

Yuji also smiled and stared at his friend's ever so handsome face as he gave the bags to him.

'These two brothers' genes are really divine.'

He thought while admiring the face cards of Alden and Antonio before looking at Alden who entered the car and placed the bags behind them.

Alden started the car's engine and Antonio rolled down the window.

"Brother Yuji, thanks for today!"

Antonio stated in a gleeful tone and waved his hand toward Yuji.

Yuji beamed and waved his hands back toward the two brothers.

Alden looked at him and nodded before the car moved off from the mall.

. . .

"I'm sorry, Yoyo but it seems like we can't go shopping for your new clothes today."

Alden said while driving.

Antonio smiled and answered cheerfully.

"It's okay, Brother Al … I think we spent quite a long time inside Brother Yuji's store."

Alden nodded his head and added.

"And it's already lunch time so we need to eat now."

He said as he drove toward a restaurant that he made a reservation with.
