We Meet Again!

Antonio is currently inside his walk-in closet and is standing before a mirror while staring at his reflection.

He is currently wearing a white shirt inside a light blue blazer for his upper body.

While he decided to wear dark blue dress pants for his legs, then pairing it together with brown Giccu loafers, the shoes that Alden bought him the other day.

His hair is tied in a half-bun hairstyle.

He sighed as he gazed at some of the strands dangling in front of his face because they can't be tied.

'Hmmm … what should I do with these ones?'

He pondered as he touched the strands.

He then looked around the closet to look for an item that could help him.

A gel might help him but he really isn't fond of them as they are sticky.

He then paused when he remembered something.

"Right!"

He muttered as he immediately ran to the shelf designated for hair accessories.

'There you are.'

He beamed when he saw the hairpins that Alden bought for him.

'I'm glad that Brother Al bought them.'

He thought as he clasped the pins and looked at them as if it was a national treasure.

He then used them to neatly pin the dangling hair strands.

"Perfect!"

He said as he looked at his overall appearance.

He looked at the watch on his wrist and immediately went out of his room to go to the living room.

He sat on a sofa and waited for his father there.

After a few minutes, he finally sees his father walking down the stairs.

Christopher, dressed in a charcoal gray business suit, halted his steps as soon as he saw Antonio.

Throb.

His heart made a sudden irregular beat inside his chest and his eyes quivered as he gazed toward Antonio.

'Antoinette.'

He thought of his late wife's name as he stared at Antonio, who looked exactly like his late wife when she was still a teenager.

"Dad?"

Antonio called out to his father who seemed to have been shocked by something.

Christopher quickly composed himself and continued to walk down the stairs.

Antonio stood up and headed to the bottom of the stairs.

He'll wait for his father there.

"Do you want to wear a mask, Yoyo?"

Christopher asked in a serious tone as soon as he reached where Antonio was standing.

Antonio creased his eyebrows.

He felt a déjà vu after hearing his father's question.

"Why?"

He asked while feeling complicated inside.

He doesn't know if the reason behind the question about wearing a mask is a good one or not.

'Maybe there's something wrong with my face that I can't see?'

He thought as he took his electric blue colored phone from his pocket and used its screen as a mirror.

'It's fine, though.'

He concluded after seeing that his face was clean and he looked proper.

He then heard his father speak.

"I'm just concerned with your health."

Antonio stared at his father who looked at him with a very worried expression.

He opened his mouth and said in a very reassuring manner.

"Oh, I'm fine Dad … I even went out with Brother Al without a mask last time and my body is still fine."

Yet, instead of feeling at ease, Christopher became even more worried.

'He's so dense.'

Christopher internally sighed as he looked at his son who seemed to not have any idea about his overly beautiful face.

At that moment, Butler Carlson entered the mansion and bowed to them.

"The car is ready, sirs."

Christopher nodded his head before offering his arm to Antonio and said.

"Alright then … let's go."

. . .

Inside a car that resembles a Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan, two men are sitting on the back seat.

One of them is a handsome middle-age man that possesses blond hair with a comb over hairstyle and a pair of gold irises.

He is wearing a beige business suit and is staring straight ahead.

Beside him, is a young man that is obviously his son because of their great resemblance to each other.

The young man's blond hair has a medium mullet hairstyle, and he possesses a pair of gold irises that are a slightly brighter color than his father.

They are the Grimmer father-son duo.

"Mikhall."

The middle-age man called his son, who was quietly staring outside the car window.

Mikhall turned to his father who was gazing at him with an apologetic look.

"What is it, Dad?"

"I'm sorry."

The middle-age man said with a tinge of guilt in his voice.

Mikhall nodded his head as he spoke.

"It's really fine, Dad."

He really is fine with what his father did.

Earlier in the morning, he planned to skip all of his classes for the day since he doesn't want to go to his university.

Today is Valentine's Day.

The day that he finds the most annoying day in the entire year.

Every time this day comes around, his day will be ruined by a number of girls confessing to him or pestering him for a date.

That's why he decided to stay inside their house the whole day.

He was in the middle of enjoying a movie when his father came home from their company headquarters and told him to come with him to a business lunch meeting.

As a filial son, he obeyed his father's request without any questions.

Therefore, they are here right now, inside a car that is heading to a restaurant.

"Thanks for understanding, son."

The middle-age man said with a smile on his face.

"Don't worry, you won't be bored there since your Uncle Christopher said that he will be bringing his son."

His father added and Mikhall just nodded his head, thinking that the son that Christopher will bring is Alden.

"Aren't you fond of him?"

His father continued to talk.

Mikhall raised his eyebrows toward his father.

'Why would I be fond of senior Alden? That man is arrogant.'

"Not really."

He stated with a serious expression.

"Oh, is that so? I must have been mistaken."

His father said and then stopped the conversation there.

After a few more minutes …

"We're here, sirs!"

Their driver spoke while looking at them through the rear view mirror.

Their car stopped in front of a high-class restaurant that belongs to the Legaspi family.

Mikhall and his father got out of the car and immediately entered the restaurant.

A waiter welcomed them with a hospitable smile on his face.

"Welcome, sirs! May I know if you have a reservation?"

"Yes, my friend said he reserved a private room for us."

Mikhall's father replied to the waiter with a kind smile.

"May I ask what was the name your friend used for reservation, sir?"

The waiter asked as he opened his tablet and went to the list of the booked rooms.

"It's Christopher … Christopher Legaspi."

Mikhall's father said.

The waiter slightly flinched before quickly checking his tablet.

After a few seconds, he looked at the two men in front of him and spoke.

"Right this way, sirs."

Mikhall and his father immediately followed the waiter who started guiding them to the second floor.

When they arrived inside the private room, they took a seat and waited for the other party to arrive.

'They won't ditch us again this time, won't they?'

Mikhall thought as several minutes had already passed but there was still no signs of the other party appearing.

"It seems that we arrived quite early."

His father started speaking with a slight smile on his face as he gazed at his watch.

"What time did Uncle Chris tell you, Dad?"

Mikhall asked his father with a subtle annoyance in his tone.

His father laughed upon noticing his temper before answering.

"Don't be impatient, child. … They'll be here in a while."

Mikhall opened his mouth to ask another question but quickly closed his mouth when they heard a knock at the door followed by a sound of the door opening.

He and his father immediately looked toward the door.

"You're early … sorry for making you wait."

Mikhall stood up from his seat and greeted Christopher who apologized for being late.

"Hello, Uncle!"

He said and Christopher smiled at him before giving him a pat on the shoulder.

"My, my! Don't apologize, we didn't wait that much."

His father said to Christopher and the two adult men gave each other a friendly hug.

The moment that Christopher moved away from the door to hug his father, Mikhall felt his body stiffened as he stared at the young man standing at the door.

"Yoyo?"

He subconsciously said in a surprise manner.

He didn't know that his father was actually referring to Antonio as the son that Christopher will bring with him during their conversation earlier.

'Aren't you fond of him?'

He then remembered his father's words a while ago that served as the biggest hint that he wasn't talking about Alden.

Thump … thump … thump

'Ugh! I'm f*cked!'

He thought as his heart started beating wildly the moment Antonio's eyes turned to gaze at him.

"Hello! We meet again!"

Antonio greeted him with a charming smile plastered on his face.

Mikhall, who doesn't want to make the same mistake he made in the café a few days ago, tried his very best to calm down.

Mikhall knew that Antonio forgot about their encounter when they were still a child, that's why he knows that Antonio is talking about their meeting a few days ago at the café.

He smiled at Antonio while trying to ignore his loudly beating heart.

Then, he greeted Antonio back.

"Yes, we meet again."

Without a hesitation, he boldly offered his hand to ask for a handshake.

He watched closely as Antonio's small hand moved and held his large hand.

'It's soft.'

He thought as he felt the warm soft grasp of Antonio.
