[Wan Shi Tong's POV]
This day was the same as every other. I sat in my library, alone absorbing the knowledge my seeker's brought me, while they continued to search for more knowledge.
This library is the results of my own work. I built it on my own by carrying the stones and wood with my legs. I took the knowledge seekers under my wing, I offered them the only thing the didn't have when they lived inside the forest, safety from other, stronger spirirts.
Then I used my powers to connect the library directly to me, making it an extencion of myself. Lastly I moved it to the human world. I sent the seekers to find any kind of knowledge no matter how useless and I stored it inside the library.
Now I could finally enjoy all that work by reading the immense amount of knowledge I have collected during the last 30 thousand years. Yet today, as I was reading I felt a huge amount of energy coming towards my library.
'So much energy.' I thought as I flew directly to the library's entrance ready to fight the intruder to the death if he wished to harm my treasures.
After about 2 minutes of waiting the door opened and a humanoid spirit entered the library. The moment I laid my eyes on him I felt as if the whole library was trying to escape my control and serve him. I wouldn't allow that, so I fought against my instinct to kneel in front of the being in front of me.
"Hello? Is anyone here?" The creature's voice woke me up from my struggles. I decide to confront it directly.
I landed silently behind him.
"Why are you here, spirit?" I asked, as it turned around to look at me.
[Third POV]
"To read and obtain knowledge." answers Solon to Wan Shi Tongg while looking at him directly.
"What kind of knowledge?"
"Every kind I can."
"Hmm... I can allow you to read books freely however you must provide some kind of new knowledge for the library. So do you have something to donate?" asked Wan Shi Tong ignoring his instints screaming at him.
"I have a new earth technique I developed with a friend of mine. Would you be interested?"
"Very well. here is a piece of parchment, use the ink on the table and write it down, once you are done you can leave it there. Then you are free to read and enjoy the every book you want. If you are searching for something particular, you can ask one of the seekers, they know almost every book in here."
"Thank you, for your hospitality." Said Solon happy with the outcome of this visit.
He immediately started writing all the information he and Bumi managed to collect when they trained seismic sense, as they called it.
'Who would have thought that this technique would come in handy so early in my travels.' he thougt.
Once he finished he turned to the closest seeker and asked him
"Could you lead me to all the knowledge that have to do with the earth, no matter how useless they are."
The spirit nodded and started walking in a particular direction with Solon following it. After climbing a sigle staircase the seeker stopped in front of a wooden door at had a sign next to it stating [earth]. After seeing the sign Solon walked inside the door and saw a large number of bookcases. After searching for a bit he found a book titled [The basics of earth]. He opened the book and started reading.
"Rock, also known as stone is the ground we are stading on, the basis of our lives. It is categorized according to whether it can be used by the power of the earth and how easy is it to control. At least that is what most people would tell you if you asked them.
People call me crazy, however I disagree with this way of thinking. Just because the power of earth is unable to control every piece of earth it doesn't mean that it is impossible to do so. The power of water has shown that each power has way more potential than what we give it credit for, If you can control ice which is frozen water, why can't we control magma which is molten stone or metal which is created my heating and cooling special kinds of rocks?
We are so stuck with everything we already know that we stopped trying to be better, and I will prove it. What you are reading right now is the journal I left inside the Wan Shi Tong's library. I gave it to the spirit that owns the library to try and pass this knowledge to the future." Solon read loudly.
"{Day 1}
After trying and failing to control the metal I have understood that my current knowledge doesn't allow me to understand what I am doing wrong, so I decided to read all of the books inside the library that can aid me in my experiments. After seeing hundreds of books in front of me I decided that writing a journal with all my findings will be better for future endeavours."
...
"{Day 30}
After reading non-stop for days I reached the conclusion that the human race has the wrong idea about the power of the elements. We can't control the elements of the world just because a lion-turtle decided that it will give us this power, apparently long ago a human managed to find a way and control the energy of the world around us. He used this power to bend the forces of the universe to his will. His action angered the real powers that hide in this world, the spirits in charge of the fundamental forces.
After they found out about the human they wanted to exterminate them before more people could use this power and destroy everything. However, not all spirirts hated the humans, two of them stood up for them. The spirits not wanting to create discord within their group took away that ability and gave them the power to bend one of the four basic elements: [Earth],[Water],[Fire] and [air].
All humans have the ability to bend one of these elements, however only the lion-turtles can initiate this power by using their energy bending, an art that is completely unusable for anyone but high-level spirits. Which means that even without the lion-turtles the benders, as the spirits called them will start increasing in numbers."
