CHAPTER #6:- THE JUDAS WINDOW

"Hey Ortwin, you fine buddy? You have been acting weird since the morning."

"O-Oh its nothing Caius, I was just thinking about the contracted game"

Caius is a low tier Overseer and to be honest one of my only friends although he may seem unimportant he is actually an informant and the rumors even say he provides valuable intel to the boss about the Underworld.

"Well do you not believe in your contracted player?"

"It's not like that,he is uhh a smart guy I guess?"

"He better be otherwise you will be kicked out and do I have to say what happens when you get fired from the Mannequin?"

"Oh I know..."

The reason why everyone is afraid to be kicked out of the Mannequin is because the high post individuals see fired Mannequin members as a traitor who might be exploitated by other enemy organizations and that's why once you are kicked out the Mannequin's hitmen and mafia connections will thirst you for life and you probably wouldn't get a Job anywhere else, it's a double edged sword out there.

For what's it worth I can't let my life collapse like that I need to grow and have some dignity these players are definitely not normal people all they need is a chance to consume you with their own desires.

"Well that's nice by the way do you wanna know about 'The Judas Window'? although it's kinda top secret I think as a loyal member you deserve to know it Ortwin"

Caius's brown eyes gleamed with mischeif and slyness, this guy is also extremely eccentric I wonder why is he so reckless about the knowledge he gains, isn't it dangerous?

"Are you sure? I mean what if someone finds out?"

"Don't worry about it if someone does find it I will just silence them"

Caius said with a sardonic grin as if it's all just a source of enjoyment for him.

"Okay whatever go ahead then"

"ALRIGHT! So listen, I hope you are aware of about our boss's connections with the underworld mafias?"

"Uhh yeah? Those Mafias work on the funds provided by our finance Management and in return the Mafia provides us with players and valuable assets such as weapons and drugs, right?"

"Exactly my guy, now coming to the Information I have is that around a year ago a mysterious guy only known as 'The Judas Window' challenged two of our Loan shark mafia departments 'The Machination Squad' and 'BikalJack Hinders' in a gambling match, even though the poker matches and the pachinko machines were rigged 'The Judas Window' won all of them by a high margin"

"Uhh okay? What's the big deal? Isn't it kinda usual for such gamblers to exist?"

"Yeah but for some reason 'The Judas Window' asked how can he challenge the Mannequin's boss!"

"What! How did he know about the connections of those Mafias to our organization?"

"Well that's the issue mate this was supposed to be a top secret but for some reason a random gambler knows about it, it's extremely concerning you know? That's why I thought I would let you know about it, anyways I have work to do see ya later mate"

With that he went away while he gave me something more to worry about..Argh! I can't think straight! I already have so much on my plate, A random guy having intel about us is indeed quite concerning, I hope it's nothing too deep cuz lately I feel like I am being dragged into extremely weird situations for God knows what reason, seesh I need a break already...

"Hey Ortwin"

"U-Uh hello Savić, did you need something?"

What is he doing here? Don't tell me it's a bad news..

"I just wanted to say that I have decided the game but before I make any arrangements I wanted to confirm if you are ready for it, does tomorrow sound good to you?"

"Y-Yeah it's good, thank you uhh Savić"

"Okay, come at Aston street house early morning tomorrow with your contracted player see you there"

"Wait! Can you tell me what game are they going to play?"

"Confirmation Ticket, more details tomorrow let the suspense consume you"

Confirmation Ticket...? What kind of game is that..? I wonder if it's something intresting..it does sound intruging though..
