CHAPTER #5:- MYSTERY

"Boss, Kozlov has won the game"

"Well that was predictable but it's still too early to say that he is the one who we are looking for, Hudson I would like you to keep an eye on his games and play styles if he really is that guy then we will need to stop him before he strikes roots to our foundation"

"Understandable Sir, I will keep that in mind".

Okay Ortwin you gotta do this! I walk towards Kozlov's apartment and Knock on his door.

"Hey Kozlov! It's me Ortwin may I come inside?"

Although I heard no voice I decided to go inside anyways because I was dying from anxiety.

"Oh hey Mr ortwin, what brings you here?"

"Uhh....Kozlov?"

Kozlov was wearing a costume of a centipide and was crawling on the floor, it looked really weird.

"Mr Ortwin, how do you like my new costume? It's 600$, you know"

What?! This guy spent 600$ on this childish looking costume? This guy...who the hell is he?!

"Hey Kozlov can you please get changed I want to have a talk with you"

"Okayy..."

Kozlov crawls towards his room wiggling his entire body like a noodle.

After a while,

"So Mr Ortwin what's up?"

"Kozlov do you plan on playing more games?"

"Yeah obviously those games are fun"

I take out the contract and place it on the table.

"What's this Mr Ortwin-"

"Kozlov please become my contracted player!! I desperately need your help!! If you represent me in the next game and you win I will be promoted to an overseer or else I will be kicked out of the Mannequin!!"

"Huhh...? That seems like way too much pressure on me"

"Kozlov please! It's just for this one game you can break the contract after it!"

"No"

"What...?"

"Well Mr Ortwin Your contract is very one sided..I am not getting that much benefits but..if you accept my only two conditions I might just sign the contract with you"

"Of course what are your conditions! I will accept anything!"

"Don't worry my conditions are pretty reasonable, first if I get injured during a game you will handle my medical expenses and lastly I will stay in this contract with you as long as I would like, I hope you understand my reasons and if you do I can sign the contract right away"

Wait what does he mean by "injured during a game"? Is he talking about the consequences of not being able to pay the bet price after losing...?, Damnnit! I can't comprehend all of that! But if he means what I think he means then he will always have an advantage over me! because even if he loses and his body parts are cut off I will have to handle his medical expenses as per the contract! along with that due to his second condition I can't just terminate the contract with my choice!! In other words..KOZLOV IS TOTALLY UNDER THE CONTROL OF MY SITUATION.

Kozlov you sly dog... Just how manipulative and corrupted are you?!

"So Mr Ortwin, are you willing to accept my conditions or should I show you the door?"

"I accept"

"Well! Okay then i look forward to working for you, I hope we have a good time Mr Ortwin"

I shake hands with him and leave the apartment, there's no doubt that Kozlov is scheming something bigger...Why do I feel like that he was planning to use me from the moment he first met me? I gotta be careful around him and now that he will interact with me alot for God knows how many days or heck even years!

To be honest after this second game I hope in one of the games the punishment would involve taking away the loser's heart or something maybe then that guy will truly step back!
