His Honor

It was true that Storm didn't know who exactly Kaden was or why he was suddenly interested in hearing her problems, but it was heartwarming to know that at least someone cared enough to know about the nightmares that wouldn't let her sleep smoothly and in peace for the last three years.

Her father had found out about it at first, but his love for her step mother, Jess, had blinded him to the fact that she needed warmth, that she had needed his care more than ever.

Her father marrying Jess had begun Storm's misery days. It was like the woman was shrouded in ill fortune and bad news.

"I really don't want to talk about it right now," Storm finally said, shaking off the earlier feeling of pouring out her feelings to Kaden, who was definitely strange.

Since knowing about the uniqueness of Lent when they had attempted to remove the bullet which had lodged into his arm, she had a feeling that her life was about to get a tad bit interesting.

And she welcomed it. It was high time something other than catering for people's belly needs and bullying bullies happened in her life.

She shivered for the second time when she felt Kaden's hand down her arm. The dude was really keen on setting more fires! She thought, biting her lips, obviously shaken.

"That's all right, love. You let me know when you're good and ready." He mentioned, but she couldn't even nod or sigh, since her breath was held up in space because of the firm thing she could feel against her backside.

From the feel of the very firm thing lodged against her backside, she could tell that Kaden was good and ready now. One part of him had definitely shifted.

And even though she was still a virgin, she had still made out with Curtis countless number of times-so, she definitely knew that Kaden had a boner.

For a moment, she reeled in the feeling of that power that assailed her.

'It seems all men are the same.' She thought, deciding to play with the fire.

She deliberately leaned on the door and pressed back into him. A sigh escaped her mouth before she could stop it when a jolt of heat shot through her, the fear of the nightmares totally dissolving.

After Curtis, Storm had thought that she would be wary of Kaden, turned off, ready to run. Instead, Kaden made her feel, for the first time in many months ... playful.

"So, tell me, Guardian," She said, lowering her voice to a purr. "Are you always like this, or are you just happy to see a new special?" She asked, wriggling her hips in order to tease his hard-on.

Storm's backside fit right into Kaden's groin, her wriggle of hips teasing his hard-on for all she was worth. She smelled good, better than good. Even her overlying scent couldn't change the sensory goodness that was Storm.

Damn! Kaden cussed. The woman could ignite the mating frenzy without even trying! And the frenzy wasn't even supposed to start until they were officially mated in ceremony, blessed by perhaps Casper under sun and under moon, since they were many miles away from the pack.

Then they would be a recognized mate-pair, similar to a human marriage, together until death. The mate-claim alone shouldn't even be enough to start the frenzy. But Kaden's libido and instincts were busily overriding the stringent werewolf rules drilled into his head since before he could talk.

Storm had pulled her ringlets of dark hair into a ponytail before coming for the errand tonight, baring her slim neck to his delectation.

Kaden leaned down and bit her skin, right above her necklace which had first belonged to her mother, according to her father.

"Not now," He growled.

"Are you implying that there will be a later, Big man?" She asked in that throaty, sexy voice, deciding to push Kaden's buttons harder.

"If you want one." His own voice sounded thick, his tongue wanting only to taste her.

She had no right to smell this good. Kaden thought. She was a bloody human for god sake. He wasn't even sure that his small powerful clan would accept her because of this-but damn! She was like a drug, and he was beginning to get addicted to her.

He had never understood Casper's fixation with his mate,  Gena, but damn it, he could now. Storm was getting under his skin. He couldn't even make himself stay away from the bloody woman. He had tried to, the goddess knows, but then she did things like this.

Of course he remembered her from the station. How could he forget her beautiful face? How could he forget his mate? But then, he had chosen to let her go because she was a human. The last thing on his mind after being banished from his kingdom was to mate up with a weak human.

He had thought it a bad luck and a cruel joke from the goddess-to have a human mate when he had needed a stronger Luna to help him start up another mafia ring in a new town.

But right now, at this moment, Kaden wanted to jerk Storm back into him, peel off her clothes, make love to her on the sagging sofa or maybe the desk. He wanted to lift her in his arms, rush her home, and tell Casper he was ready for the mate blessing. Under sun and under moon; get on with it, man.

"Not now," he said again, directing the words to himself. Even though he was no longer of his pack, he still thought it right to stick by the honourable rule even though he was anything but that.

All these years, trying to build a legacy for himself, trying to stand up again so that he would answer to no one and never be eligible to be usurped, he had definitely lost every shred of honorability he had. But for the beautiful vixen in front of him, he chose to hang onto the slightest thread of honour still in him.
