Lucy and Justin were bickering with themselves as usual in Storm's room the next day, something about the best singer for the week. Storm couldn't care less. Her thoughts were rather consumed with Kaden.
What was the meaning of this? She queried herself, wondering how she had fallen this deep without even knowing. For god's sake they had just met two days ago, well technically two years ago, but that didn't matter because she had been with Curtis then, and Kaden had just been a handsome stranger.
What was so different about him? She wondered, shaking her head in disbelief. What was so different?
Well, he was hot for one! The hottest she has ever seen. That's different. But she felt that there was much more. She couldn't just be hooked onto a guy because of hotness. She was not superficial like Miranda.
"Hey Storm, what are you thinking about?" That was Justin asking.
Nice of him to have taken a break from the bicker and notice her. Storm mused, looking at both of them. The duo should start dating already. She didn't know who they were fooling, or if they were just too blind to see it? Well, that was their problem. She wasn't going to be the one to open their eyes.
They had come together this morning to see her, or cheer her up, in their own words.
Lucy had cooked, since her stepmother and step msister had chosen to ignore her after the doctor had left. They hadn't even asked her how she was doing or if she needed anything to eat.
Well, she was not surprised.
It was well expected of the mother and daughter duo. She just wished that they wouldn't be so heartless, but who was she kidding? That was their nature.
She really needed to get away from them.
"Storm…Justin is still waiting for an answer." Lucy pointed out, shifting closer to Storm such that she was next to Storm by the left, her hand flung over Storm's neck.
"Well, nothing really. I just want to leave this house. It's making me sick." Storm replied, relaxing into Lucy's touch.
Justin furrowed his eyebrows, obviously thinking of a plan. "We can go for a karaoke," He stated after a while, and Lucy hissed. "Is that the best you could come up with?"
Lucy snorted, and turned away from him, finding her nails more of an interesting subject.
Seeing Justin's red face, Storm knew he was about to react, but she immediately cut in, not wanting another showdown. Their previous bicker had worn her down. If they should have another, she just might die.
"Let's go to the club. We are well over eighteen after all." She suggested, her eyes twinkling at the thought; a good place to drink and forget about her troubles, including Kaden.
There was a pinch of silence, where Lucy darted glances between she and Justin.
Justin shrugged, the first to give consent to the plan. He didn't need to say another.
They both looked at Lucy, expecting her own answer. But the barbie, as strung up as Storm had thought, rebuked it vehemently. "You are still on drugs, Storm! You don't need alcohol now. Besides, you are a light drinker." She said, shaking her head, laughing the next second when Storm started to tickle her. Justin joined in the act, focusing on her left side.
"Stop! Stop!" She cried out, still laughing. But of course they continued.
"Agree that we are going to the club, and I will stop.'' Storm said, laughing freely for the first time since they had come.
"Okay okay. Let's go." Lucy complied finally, taking deep breaths when Storm and Justin finally let her go.
"You know you two are psychopaths." She said, glaring at them.
"Of course, we do know that. Thank you, princess of the psychopaths.'' Storm teased, giving her a light punch on the shoulder.

The club was packed with bodies of dancing men and women, the women almost naked.
"Is there no other club than this?" Storm asked Justin who was between she and Lucy.
"Well, this one is the most safe for you." He replied, and Storm scoffed at the irony, taking in the interior of the club. There were strip dancers, and call girls. She could even see a couple making out in a dark corner, that was not actually dark. It was like they were in a sex zone. That was how the atmosphere smelt of.
"Here.." Justin pushed a drink into her hand. "It has less alcohol, and wouldn't harm you in any way." He said, and Storm nodded slowly, watching as he handed another to Lucy, whilst wondering when he had the chance to zoom past them to the bar area which was a few feet away from them.
"You seem to be a regular here." Storm stated, smirking when she saw him blush, and stutter his next few words especially when he looked into Lucy's face.
These two. What are they waiting for? A little push? She thought, a plan brewing in her mind already, against her earlier resolution.
"Well…I…" Justin was still stuttering when Lucy snorted.
"That's why you brought us here. No wonder, the guard had let us pass freely without asking for our IDs. Do they striptease for you here, you know, one of these naked girls?? You come here then to release some pent up emotion?"
Jealousy rang true in Lucy's voice, jealousy it seemed only Storm could fish out.
"No..I just.." Justin was trying to explain, but then he paused, whispered 'fuck it', and walked away from them.
"What the hell is wrong with him? He just left us here?" Lucy asked, now turning to look at Storm, incredulity coating her face and voice.
When Storm gave her no reply, choosing rather to listen to her rant, Lucy bit her lips and inhaled. "I went too far, right?"
Storm laughed then. That loud boisterous laughter that bespoke of freedom rather than finding something funny.
