Friend-zoned

Kaden looked up when Storm stepped into the room. He was amazed at the goodness of her looks, and the ache in his chest, the longing to grab her to himself and inhale the scent that was hers.

He averted his gaze when he noticed that she had caught him staring, or rather drooling.

He didn't want her thinking that she was the air he breathed, and that he couldn't do without her. He already knew what she could do with her mouth already; break his heart and resolve.

"Storm, I was surprised to get your call. Please, take a seat." He started, unable to resist making the dig. He was still hurt that she had ousted him because she was scared of her emotions.

'Easy Kaden. Go easy on the girl. You are not any better.' He heard his lycan say, or rather think or was it whisper?

It was just barely there, sounding tired. But at least he was speaking.

Oh wow, what the presence of Storm could do.
