Storm saw the impatience cloud Kaden's face before it reflected in his words when he spoke.
"So, why are you here then? You sounded like it was urgent over the phone. Did you see some strange people around that you think are hunters?" He asked, and she shook her head, whilst wondering what had crawled up his ass now-why he seemed hell bent on pushing her out of shape with worrying about what he was thinking.
"No, I didn't. But about that, do you know of any recent insight to that?" She asked.
"Yeah. The bounty on your head has been increased. Your stepmother is very determined to see you caught. If I didn't know better, I would say that she misses you." Kaden answered, grimacing at his lame attempt to lighten the sullen atmosphere.
Yet when he saw the little smile that graced Storm's lips, he couldn't help but feel fulfilled. He almost scoffed at himself a second latter. He was acting like whipped cream.
"How much?"
