I, Soren Lucian Stormrider, the count of Stormrider County in the prosperous kingdom of Ardentia—or at least, that's how it was supposed to be. It wasn't until the sudden death of my parents, while I was still mourning their deaths that the truth hit me like a ton of bricks.
