Chapter 194 LIES

KELLY'S POV

Cheol drove me home safely from school; however, he left as soon as I walked through the door of the house. I went straight upstairs, but I had to stop in the middle when I heard my father's voice calling my name.

"It's almost eight o'clock in the evening, princess," he said, glancing at the clock on the wall. "Can you tell me where you have been?" he had a firm tone in his voice, and he only used that tone when he was about to scold me. He's not used of me going home late. It was always me meeting him in the living room every time he got home from work not the other way around, so, I understand if he was reacting this way now.

“I'm sorry Dad but I... I needed to finish an assignment, but I didn't know how to do it, so I—-I asked Cheol to teach me,” I stammered, knowing I wasn't very good at lying. I've never done anything like this before, especially to my father. "Yes, I was with Cheol."
