Chapter 19 TWISTED GAME

Samantha’s POV

Caleb was leaned over the counter, one leg crossed over the other. I watched his lips move as he talked with a beautiful girl. She was dressed in a stunning red dress that stretched all the way down her knees. She was gorgeous, the way she would flip her hair over her shoulder in a waterfall of blonde locks. Dangling from her earlobes were a pair of diamond earrings.

Caleb looked rather immersed in his conversation with her, laughing and grinning widely as he brushed a tendril of loose strands away from her face. I held my breath behind pursed lips, realizing I had held my gaze too long.

I was no psychology expert, but I dared to say I could decode non-verbal communication pretty well. And based on the body language of flirting, the way the girl brushed her fingers over his hand, or the way his hand would slip up her thigh, it was evident where things were going for both of them that night.
