EASTON's POV
It was after lunch when I arrived at the office building since I had spent the morning at my hotel in Bronx, where I had a meeting with the management and some of my employees.
I received a report that one of the bellboys had stolen a diamond necklace that had been left in one of the VIP rooms, and the owner of the item happened to be my former classmate in college.
‘‘On behalf of my employee, I want to sincerely apologize, Olivia...’’ In my conversation with the owner of the necklace, I groaned as I leaned my back on the chair. ‘‘I swear it won't happen again.’’
‘‘You have to train your employees again, Easton. And aren’t you conducting seminars or making your employees be investigated their backgrounds first before hiring them? God, this is so annoying. I can’t believe you’re running a hotel with thief employees. Don’t you know that this is a gift from my fiancé in Germany? You don’t even know how---’’
