CHLOE's POV
After almost two hours of drinking two bottles of wine and some beer, Easton and I were both laughing and flirting our way to a state of mild intoxication. I was able to sense the tension leaving my body, and my attraction to him was no longer having the same effect on me as it had just a while ago.
‘‘You're so beautiful, Chloe… I can't believe Casper just left you with another girl...’’ he said while gazing at me with a distant expression in his eyes.
‘‘I don't know. Maybe, I’m not good enough for him… but if there’s one thing that is certain, it’s his loss of letting me go, not mine…’’ I murmured as I stared back at him, biting the inside of my lower lip nervously.
He gave a slight grunt as his eyes darted on my lips, and I didn't realize that he was inching closer to me until our faces were only a few inches apart from one another.
He lifted his hand and brushed a loose tendril of my hair, pushing it behind my ear, before he rested his palm on my cheek.
