CHLOE's POV
When I inadvertently mentioned the name of my ex-boyfriend, I bit the inside of my lip. Easton didn’t appear to get angry and chose to ignore it as he began to stroll down closer to the waterfall with him still carrying me like I was just a feather. He carefully set me down on top of the enormous rock and smiled. ‘‘This place is amazing!’’
Even though it was a little bit chilly here due to the fact that it was still early in the morning, our bodies didn’t stop sweating. And right now, I could see the excitement in his eyes as he sat down next to me and shared my delight as we watched the waterfall splash over us.
I drew nearer to him and rested my head on his shoulder. ‘‘I’m so sorry, Easton…’’
He seemed puzzled. After he had straightened up, he pierced me with those brown orbs, which set off a renewed lustful desire in my heart.
‘‘Excuse me, but for what?’’
