CHLOE'S POV
I was filled with anticipation as I made my way towards my bedroom, and when I reached for the doorknob to open it, I was taken aback to find that it was locked.
When I put my ear to the wooden door in an effort to find out what was going on inside, I overheard Easton having a conversation with another person, most likely on his phone. After a couple of seconds of gently knocking three times, the door opened as I lifted my fist to knock on it again.
When I saw him standing there with a solemn expression on his face, I couldn't help but break out in a broad smile. ‘‘Hey… why did you lock up? Something wrong?’’ however, my smile quickly vanished when I saw his luggage in the middle of the room. ‘‘You’re leaving?’’
He only nodded at me, and I almost choked in tears.
‘‘Why?’’
