CHLOE's POV
It’s now the start of yet another night. I was making my way down the hallways of the hospital when I came to a stop in front of the room when I spotted Easton's mother standing in front of him. I was relieved to see that Easton's body was able to sit up on the bed with the assistance of a nurse, despite the fact that it was tough for him to do so.
The worried voice of his mother could be heard echoing across the room. ‘‘You should have been more careful. How could you miscalculate everything? You should have been more prepared.’’ She barked.
When Mrs. Gonzalez turned her body around, she noticed me and her eyes softened, a sigh left her lips. ‘‘Now isn't this just great timing?’’ she smiled at me. ‘‘Chloe is more helpful here than I am…’’ she muttered, approaching me. ‘‘I’m leaving, Chloe… My son needs you more.’’ She gave me another warm smile, touching my shoulder gently before walking out of the room.
