CHLOE's POV
The goodbye was neither bitter nor sweet. After giving me a passionate kiss and hugging me for as long as he could stand it, he walked away without so much as a wave or turning his back to face me for the very last time.
I slowly walked back towards the house, my feet felt heavy as they dipped in the warm sand. My gaze remained fixed on the surface of the ocean as I watched the yacht becoming smaller and smaller until it was no longer in my line of sight.
Easton…
After harshly wiping the tears off my face, I sat down on the sand to compose myself. What should I do in this situation? How am I ever supposed to continue living my life the way I did before, now that you’re so far away from me?
It’s fine, really… The only reason I care is because I am missing him.
I didn't question his decision to leave me or complain about it. Why he didn't allow me to accompany him on his trip? I refrained from complaining for the sake of peace.
