Chapter 2 Marriage Proposal

Seven years later.

Sneaking out in the lunch break, excitement of Princess Alohi Joyce was out of this world. Living in the enclosed walls of Royal Castle, this speck of freedom was intoxicating for her.

Giggling nonstop, she was venturing men’s stores with Mia, her coworker. As the sole heiress of Werewolf’s Kingdom, Alpha King wasn’t fond of her working as an intern but still, he allowed it for her happiness.

But strict routine and security guards made her feel imprisoned there too. Suffocated by the conservative rules of the Royal family, Alohi was using this chance to enjoy to the fullest and bought a gift for dear Alvin, her boyfriend.

You must be wandering about her affair but it was also Alpha King’s choice. He was anticipating their harmonious marriage in near future.

So back to the shopping, after rejecting so many accessories, men’s wear caught her attention. Dressed in a black t-shirt jeans and wearing a pony tail, Alohi was looking like a common young girl.

Using scent blocker in addition to casual clothes, she was successful in avoiding useless protocol of being Royal Princess, enjoying the liberty of shopping in peace.

Meanwhile on City Air Port,

“My luggage is missing, how can you say that it was not loaded on the plane.”

Alpha Nathanial Michaelson was patiently conversing with the male service provider at complaint cell.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience, Sir. To convey our heart felt apology, your ticket will be refunded to your account.

Please leave the address in the complaint application. We will deliver your suitcase safely.”

“To hell with your refund!”

Alpha’s wolf (Lucas) cursed in his mind. Reigning in his flaring frustration, Alpha signed the papers and stomped out of the airport lounge.

He was regretting his decision of boarding a commercial flight, calling names to his Beta and the whole Werewolf Council for this urgency.

As he was alone in werewolf capital, he hailed a cab and reached the shopping mall in the heart of that lively city.

Pleasant sunlight and courteous receptionist didn’t improve his mood, he randomly picked a black suit and went to the trial room.

His bulging muscles were making it hard to fit in his particular size, the buttons on his chest flew to the floor helplessly.

“What the heck!”

Fuming in anger, he changed and burst out at the first sales girl he saw,

“What kind of pathetic clothes this shop is selling? Tag says 42” width but it’s third class fabric ripped in first try. This store must be reported for scamming the customers.”

Seeing that sales girl ignorance mode, he tapped on her shoulder,

“Hey, you!

I am talking to you, Miss sales girl. I want to talk to your manager.”

Alohi’s breath caught in her throat at that stranger’s audacity, who was yelling nonstop.

“This is Men’s shop, why the management even hired a mindless woman here? Zero work ethics!”

She gulped hard and faced that hot headed Alpha calmly.

“Sir, you can ask for assistance at front desk. I am….”

Her explanation was cut mid-off by his warning growl.

“Just wait here, I will complain about your unprofessional behavior too.”

Alohi was frozen to her spot under the impression of his Alpha command. Her wolf (Raven) yawned and woke up.

“You snuck out while I was sleeping. Bad, Alohi! Tell me about what did I miss?”

With the surge of power from her Alpha wolf, Alohi dashed out of the shop with out taking her clueless friend from the second floor.

“I was dealing with an idiot beast, Raven. He was mistreating me.”

Alohi hid in girl’s washroom, in an attempt to calm down her racing heart beat.

“Who dared to bully you? Let’s go back, Alohi. I will break his mouth.”

Raven’s revenge mode was instantly activated, she was showing several ways of taking down the offender.

“We have to buy a present, remember?”

Raven finally realized her stupidity and helped her relax.

.

“Where are you, Alohi? I was searching for you every where.”

Mia came after searching the whole shop and practically dragged her to another leading store where they bought dark brown suit for Alvin. Raven was chirping like a real Raven, delighted at their first present ever.

“This color will compliment his brown years. Our mate is so handsome, you are a genius, Alohi.”

As lunch break was about to be over, they rushed back to the first floor but crowd of young girls and boys was making it difficult to leave.

“Is there any festival of young people going on here?”

Alohi was pondering over the situation when all the youth gathered and circled around her.

There were red baskets in their hands, filled with different girly items. Alohi looked at Mia in bewilderment but she smiled and also joined the crowd.

She spun around to find the reason and suddenly shower of red roses glorified the surrounding.

Weighed by doubt and glee, Alohi extended her hands to catch soft petals and deeply inhaled their fresh scent.

“How deep is the ocean,

How deep is your love

I have the love in my eyes.

You broke into the silence,

You broke into my soul

You are like a rose in the snow.

Oh my love, is my love is your love, forever and again.”

Alvin sang huskily with the symphony of guitar, slowly kneeling on one knee.

“Miss Alohi Joyce, you are the one for me. Will you spend rest of your life as my wife and my mate?”

After singing her favorite song, he brought out a diamond ring from his coat’s pocket, his brown orbs laced with deep affection.

Alohi was struck with lightening bolts, taken back with Alvin’s sincere proposal. She wasn’t believing her luck, her soul was soaring high in the sky.

“Don’t make him wait. Say yes!”

Raven’s impatient growl broke her trance, bringing her back to the chanting audience.

“Yes, Yes, Yes.”

Her lips curled up in a lovely smile, she nodded her head. Then she placed her hand in Alvin’s wide palm, glancing at the ring with alphabets “AA” craved on it.

Alohi hugged him as her eyes were twinkling with hopes of beautiful future ahead.

After looking for that disrespectful sales girl, Alpha Nathanial bought an expensive suit of his own choice.

He was exiting the mall when he heard the claps and cheers of boys and girls, red balloons and the flower petals made him realize the occasion.

“Stupid, idiot people. So free for this nonsense!”
